I mostly railfan in Redwood City/Redwood Junction but sometimes I take myself to new places like Roseville, Stockton, Watsonville and places more farther than that.

I was sitting in bed when I randomly turned on my scanner and heard the UP LWJ62-16 switching, I was about to go to sleep but I ran out of my house straight to Chestnut Street where I saw the crossings go down and I recorded the train passing by, and got a nice picture. How many days a week does the Hollister run?
Great shot of the CA zephyr and the maint. yard GP. To your left is the convergence point of the Roseville, Valley and Martinez subdivisions along with the east end hump arrival & departure yard leads, local/city yard lead, and east-end roundhouse lead. One of the best places to rail fan there.

Yep, I’m pretty sure they are.

@@nyonas3908 It is most likely just a siding for Caltrain to store their MOW in beacuse there are no industries in the area to be served by rail and the area is too small for a hold out siding.
For any of yall hearing “MW600” on the scanner, it means they working like this and it’s single tracking in that block. (This is only for this time)
