What Settles The Differences (in storytelling)
Yeah the ending was weak but it was a rush job, not at all what was in the manga. My other problem with Soul Eater is they build up this Ashura guy to be this terrible evil who can never be released because he makes people crazy just by being near him and eventually the whole world goes psycho, but after his initial release and fight with Death Sama, he just fucks off for a while and then isn't really menacing for the rest of the whole show. Pretty big let down.
Soul eater not is lesbian slice of life
No screw you i love Excalibur bullshit
I understand most others have said it, but you wouldnt have these same issues if you read the manga or if the anime had the room to pace along the anime
I remember first watching the Soul Eater anime and being pretty disappointed with the last 1/3 of it Then one day I was bored just reading stuff on the Soul Eater wiki, and I end up on the pages for “the clowns” And I’m like “what the heck the clowns weren’t this cool or interesting in the anime, did I miss something?” Only to find out their entire existence was changed from the manga to the anime, and that basically half the story was just skipped over in the anime So I decided to read my first manga and it was totally worth it the manga for soul eater is so much better than the anime, and the parts the anime skipped are pretty much the best parts of the entire story. I really hope we get an anime remake like FMA, but until that day the manga is definitely worth reading over the anime.
please read it
When people say "the manga's better" they forget to mention that the anime cuts like 2/3 of the Story out. You know how there are 2 Full Metal alchemists animes, One had to make its own story/ ending because the manga wasn't finished, it was still good tbh. And "Brotherhood " came in to give the complete, and true-to-manga adaptation. Soul Eater needs the treatment since the anime honestly fell off when they started making their own story. Looking forward to it getting the Brotherhood treatment, cause the manga is gas.
@@Jmasterturbo2 I'm watching Brotherhood rn, what is the og like in comparison? (if you've watched)
@@quadzxy The 2003 anime cuts off around volume 7 or around episode 12-13 of Brotherhood and does its own thing. It tends to lean darker and more melancholic. Both shows have their strengths and I won't get super into the debate on which is better. But 03 stays both consistently darker and more tragic, and leans into different themes as a result. They have different main villains. Brotherhood also has much more humor. I still would recommend watching 03 if you can find it. But I prefer Brotherhood overall. Edit: Also '03 has a fair bit of filler as I recall but I could be misremebering. Despite that, it's only 51 episodes (and a movie kinda) vs Brotherhood's 64
I didnt vibe with the manga in the beginning, but once I got to know the characters it was close to peak
There's hope for a remake after Fire Force ends. Given that it's the same author and some other reasons that i won't spoil
Read the manga bro. The anime falls apart right after the blizzard time warp arc

I really loved your Analysis. Great Video🔥🔥🔥
I liked Saw & Saw II, I didn't like Saw III surprisingly, only way I thought the 3rd film could have been better was if the twist was better (like have the puppet be the master mind all along or have either John Kramer or Amanda working with Jeff all along to kill the other, etc)
The reason why deku and uraraka’s relationship wasn’t addressed in the finale was because horikoshi didn’t want to rile up all the toxic fans who shipped deku with anyone else but uraraka hence why there’s no confirmation of whether or not their together
horikoshi isnt involved in western side of the fandom where the shipping is more popular. japanese dont really care about that. his not confirming any ships has nothing to do with the western fandom
@ with how izuocha was teased throughout the entire series only to not play out in the end is hella suspicious, you can’t sit there and tell us that if their relationship was confirmed and they were together in the end that it would have definitely caused some kind of backlash from the toxic shippers
@@felixthecat5333 not really, there are many series that does that. also not committing to your writing bc of some shippers would make horikoshi look unproffessional as a writer.
I can confirm that this is indeed…false
@@t.j.1584 with the info we just received, you got that right lol 😂
the ending is terrible
explain
3:20 ok bro the endeavor family conclusion in the epilogue isn’t as good as people make it out to be for a Myriad of reasons but I’ll highlight the most egregious one in my opinion rei: for the entire epilogue rei is just reduced to pushing around endeavor her abuser in his wheelchair despite it being electric even in the final chapter she’s still pushing the chair what ever happened to that second Todoroki house we just hear that he was gonna make it but we never see it and forgive me if I’m wrong but we also never hear about it again
I personally disagree with this take. The conclusion to the Todoroki plot line was pretty good and well handled, especially with how it ends with Endeavor, Shoto and Toya since they were the main focuses surrounding this plot line, giving us a bitter sweet ending for the family. I would’ve liked Rei to say a little more to Toya, but that’s literally all I think she could’ve done to add more to this family’s conclusion. As for Rei pushing Endeavor in his electric wheelchair, I think that’s a visual indication that she acknowledges that this is a new Endeavor that’s continuing to atone for past sins and not the same abusive monster he was all those years ago. A new Endeavor that she wants to support even if it’s as small as pushing his chair for him. As for the second house Endeavor said he was gonna build for his family, we actually do get to see it, but it’s different between the anime and manga. For the anime right before the PLW kicks off with Endeavor and the other heroes confront Dr Garaki, we see Natsuo and Fuyumi leaving that new house to go on about their day as they talk about how Endeavors been calling them but won’t be able to for a while because of his work. For the manga, it’s in the first page of chapter 259 “a quiet beginning” we see Fuyumi carrying groceries into the house and we get a brief look at Natsuo and his girlfriend. We don’t see or hear about it again due to the whole family needing to be sheltered at U.A with the evacuees after the events of the war. Now honestly, I’m not seeing how any of these points seem to be the most “egregious” to how this plots conclusion isn’t “good”. They seem to be very minuscule complaints when it comes to how the entire Todoroki family plot line concluded and I’m not seeing how these really affect the quality of the plot line, at least for me. If it was something like overloading on cliche’s and predictable twists, having characters say and do things that’s out of character for them or neglecting character development, then I see how that would be “egregious”, but this? This feels like minor nitpicks to me.
I made it 587
IMO, the biggest problem with MHA is that it tries to have its cake and eat it too. There are some other things, but that's the biggest one. I'd think that the general message conveyed is that "YOU can be a hero" - it doesn't matter if you don't have superpowers, what matters is that you try your best to do what you can for others. All Might, Deku, Lemillion all show that some of the greatest heroics are done by people without powers. That's why the Symbol of Peace kind of fails - when people could count on All Might to save everyone, they were less likely to help people themselves. The grandma that ignored Shigaraki previously now reaches out to help a kid who could have become a second Shigaraki, and that was a pretty clear way to show the message. Extending that theme, Deku becoming a teacher after having been rendered powerless IS a logical conclusion. He's still trying to help others in his own way, with what he can do himself. I'd have liked them to show him using his analytical capabilities to help his students more - he does it a little bit with that one kid he runs into, and tells him that "You can be a hero", which was a good nod to the beginning of the story. The biggest problem is that the ending doesn't stop there. Instead, All Might comes in with the Iron Man suit - so you get the same inherent conflict the manga has always had with its own themes. Deku could be a hero...because the greatest hero in the world came by and gave him the strongest powers in the world. Deku can be a hero...because he got charity from people who DID have powers, who took pity on him and made him an iron man suit so he can play with the grownups. Deku wasn't satisfied with being a teacher, and the instant he had the chance he quit to be a superhero. That turns the theme from "You can be a hero, no matter your capabilities, as long as you do your best to help others." to "You can be a hero, no matter your capabilities, as long as you do your best to help others...but it sucks and is lame unless Superman gives you his powers or you get Tony Stark to take pity on you and build you your own suit."
Hmmm I think you're assuming some stuff there I disagree quite a bit with. - He doesn't have to stop being a teacher because of the suit, technically speaking all UA teachers are licensed pro heroes, and thus they can work as such if necessary. Deku could do both, the possible reason he didn't before is because it's simply not very effective to try doing pro hero work without a 'quirk'. - I don't think receiving power from someone else makes you less worthy than someone who were born with it, there are many heroes in fiction that received their powers entirely from someone else and proved to be very much worthy of possessing it. - It was never out of pity, neither with OFA or the suit, the reason he received those gifts is because both Toshinori and class 1A deemed Deku worthy of having them, because he embodies the spirit of a true hero even after being quirkless again for 6-8 years. It's only my opinion, but they wouldn't have done it if after all this time Deku was simply bitter about living as a quirkless person again. I do find it really awkward how long of a timeskip it takes for this to happen however, it's mostly due to how... 'lacking in information' the ending is, we barely get to know much of the state of how the world is after 8 years and how that time passed, there's quite a bit that can only be speculated with info from the chapter, the epilogue and the manga in general.
I don’t think Deku quit being a teacher to be a hero again. We’ve seen multiple examples throughout the entire series of other pro heroes who are teachers while also being heroes at the same time, heck even All Might was doing this for the entire series despite his injury and powers fading. So knowing this, it’s pretty easy to think Deku’s just doing both things at the same time.
@@t.j.1584 There are only 24 hours in a day, and it's made pretty clear that even All Might with One for All couldn't properly do both. All Might could solve incidents within seconds, but he would still be late to class and wasn't able to be a good teacher. Like...he has to teach during school hours - 8 hours from 8am to 4pm or so. Then he has to attend meetings, grade homework, develop curriculums, and so on. From what we've seen of him, it's very likely that Deku would be making individual lesson plans customized for a single student's quirk. Assuming all of that takes him a single hour a day, and that he gets 8 hours of sleep, he might be able to hero for 7 hours a day...if he skips breakfast and dinner, never does any groceries or chores, and can teleport instantly from school to wherever he's needed, and has no social life outside of teaming up with people during heroing. Like, this was even part of All Might's character arc - it was only after he stopped being a hero, he started actually being a teacher. All for One taunted All Might that he had failed to be a good teacher to Deku. Remember when he started carrying around the equivalent of a teaching for dummies manual? Of the other teacher-heroes, how many of them did we see still going on patrol and actively heroing? Yes, Eraserhead was around to protect the kids and such if they were attacked, but that isn't really the same as going out, kicking butt, and taking names. It could theoretically be possible - and maybe it'll even come up in the bonus pages in the volume release, I haven't seen those yet - but both in terms of logistics (working two full time jobs is pretty hard, and teaching itself does take more time for grading assignments and such.) and narrative (i.e. All Might couldn't succeed as both a hero AND a teacher at the same time) it wouldn't make sense.
@@ShiningArc I have two things to point out. 1. This first thing deals with what Deku says about being a teacher in the extra pages of the volume based on the leaks I’ve seen, so if you don’t wanna know what he said, then you can move on to my next point. In your original comment, you said “Deku wasn’t satisfied with being a teacher, and the instant he had the chance he quit to be a superhero.” Well for one, it’s never stated that he quit. And two, in the volume extras Deku actually states himself that even if he kept OFA that he still would’ve wanted to be a teacher anyway. So it seems like Deku is actually 100% satisfied with being a teacher and that it was a path he wanted to go on whether he had a quirk and hero career or not in the end. 2. There’s also the main message during the Dark Hero arc, that Deku doing the things All Might did, like carrying all the burdens of society on his shoulders alone and everyone depending only on him, is the wrong course of action and that he needs to depend on others. With Class A telling Deku that they will be there to ease his burden and handle the things he won’t be able to take care of himself. So with this Deku balancing hero work and teaching at the same time wouldn’t be as hard like it was for All Might in the past, since not only does he have his friends and other pro heroes to rely on that are taking care of society while he teaches, like Shoto for example which is stated he works day and night as a pro. But there’s also the case of villain emergences going down as well as the years went by, especially thanks to Uraraka’s quirk counseling program, so they also don’t have to worry about villains like they used to either. I can easily see this as a way how Deku’s able to have enough free time to teach his students during school hours and if he has any free time afterwards, on the weekends or feels like he’s needed, knowing that his friends and other pros are taking care of society with the rate of villain emergences on the downturn. Later on he could then do some hero work/patrolling, without worrying about neglecting his students or feeling like he would need to only choose to work in two occupations. Like I don’t think it’s really this difficult for him to juggle two different jobs. For years we’ve seen heroes in fiction balance their normal jobs and superhero jobs, and with this being said Deku would have it a lot easier for him to balance those two jobs.
@@t.j.1584 Have we? Like, if you look at the big superheroes struggle to maintain both sides of their lives. Batman is a mess, and he's so rich that he doesn't need to work. Spider-Man, who Horikoshi IS a big fan of and Deku's powers resemble, is infamous for being screwed in every possible way in his personal life because even being a low to the ground hero that just helps out where he can and shares a lot of the big problems with others is demanding. He's a photographer (but his work is used to make people hate his hero persona), or a student (his activities make him late and miss assignments and tests), or owns a tech company (but it wasn't him, it was his body being stolen by a villain, and he lost everything, including his university degree because of it). He was happily married (but sold his marriage to the devil to save his aunt's life), he was in a relationship (but got cucked by Paul). The various Flashes keep screwing up the entire universe and resetting reality by messing up the timestreams. The most famous Green Lantern's fiancée became Star Sapphire and fought against him quite bitterly for a long time. Captain America got thrown into the future and lost all of his family and friends to the passing of time. The only big name who I'd say REALLY manages things well is Superman, who is simply built different being a godlike space alien who only lives a normal human life because he wants to. I'm not talking about being a symbol of peace, I'm talking about just regular superhero activities - how many of the non All Might teachers did we ever see going out on patrol during times of peace? Obviously, they're around if U.A. was being attacked, or in emergencies - but of the teacher's we met, how many maintained their regular hero duties while also being a teacher?
one of the coolest things i noticed on the ending deku changed the weather like all might did in the first chapter or episode 2 of the anime. edit: ochako has a piece of dekus armor on her new armor in the time skip hinting at something there for them, i mean the like mouth cover thing
Its good. I'll die on this hill. However, its not perfect. Hopefully the additional pages from the final volume fixes most of it.

i think rei's main deal and goal was eventually proving she wasn't a doll. she did prove that in the end when she broke off from gendo's influence and took matters into her own hands by fusing with lilith. her granting the wish to shinji in the end of evangelion was part of her other goal to make shinji happy, but it's a shame that didn't work out as well as she might have hoped
Yup.....mostly
Yeah man, I was obsessed with eva as a teenager, but as a brazillian I had to really upgrade my english lang skills, but sometime late 2006 I watched the show and cried like a baby with the ending. I found it to be perfect and brilliant. I feel that the biggest issue ppl saw with the ending is that anime, in general, spoon-feeds explanations to the audience. If they don't, like in Ghost in the Shell, there is still a final boos battle and a sense of accomplishment to linger into. In EVA the accomplishment felt empty if the audience was not keen on deciphering the plot. Hence the alternative endings being all about bigger badder crazier battles, and ppl loved them.
Anno made this anime by and for 90s Otaku. It's popularity outside that is kinda accidental really. And those are exactly the people who're gonna watch a series 50 times in slow mo to pick apart each detail. It's actually quite well made, and quite clear, in that context. When you do that, when you pay attention to each word and actually think about it, it's not that hard lol
i have nothing to add cuz im smooth brain but your cover brought tears to my eyes

Nice thoughts there, as an OG eva fan it's always nice to listen to what other people's experience with the show is btw it's Wille, it's German and just means "a persons will", and it is pronounced not willy but more something like will-a
Evangelion is a show with good aspects, but its portrayal of themes is too convoluted to easily be understood, which is what limits it from being an amazing show.
The video was such a great and simple and clean summary of evangelion, also that cover of fly me to the moon at the end is so peak.
I think evangelion is great and good and still too hard for my smooth brain to understand
cool vido
They killed Amanda so they couldn't make sequels, just like killing Nancy in Dream Warriors.

Hey there. I'm gonna leave some constructive criticism if I may: Decent video, but like another comment mentioned, you showed footage from one the films and didn't talk about it, also you mentioned SAW IV but didn't show any footage. Just a bit of inconsistency in the content. Finally, the Outro of the video is too long, a whole minute with just music playing and not a word, not an image. I hope this helped, you're just starting out and have great potential, so you'll hone your skills with time. Good luck 😁💪🏼☀️...
You showed footage from the sixth one but didn’t talk about it at all. It near the top for most people.
Love the vids man keep going 🤘
