I’m getting ready to order it now that’s what happened to my truck. I hope it works.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Thank you. I just got back from my first trip in our new truck and the clock is off by a lot. Very helpful. ... From Seattle
Glad it was helpful!
Where can I buy this setup?
Hi! I can build one for you from the ground up or I can possibly track one down for you. How soon do you need one? Thank you, Tim Lower
What wheelbase or ca length should I be looking at to haul 16’ cans? I’m in Ohio it seems most states are ok with a 2’ overhang. I guess if I got one to haul 16’ with no overhang I could also haul 18’ if I came across some. I like the idea of 16’ cans to make it easier for people to load them vs the short cans with high sides. I don’t hear anyone discussing this on all the guys I follow on RUclips so maybe it’s not a big deal? I’d really like to get a for or fvr derated truck. Maybe you could do a video discussing this topic and show different size cans on your truck. Thank you. Hope business is good.
Is this a hooklift application or roll-off?
@ I plan to go hooklift and I’d like an auto tarp as well. Thank you.
@@adamholbrook2281 I would try and decide on a hooklift brand. If you want to run different size cans Swap Loader is one to consider or Stellar. They will know what cab to axle you'll need and will also be able to guide you on the bumper. Check website for FMCSA. Keep in mind most hooklift vendors have bumper extensions that bolt or weld on that extends the bumper to keep you running legally. Make sure to also consider the transmission before picking a chassis. 3000RDS will provide more benefits than a 2500RDS. If you can deal with only running the hook in neutral and in reverse only, the 2500RDS will be fine. If you want to run it in forward and reverse gears you need the Allison 3000RDS. Limited forward speeds with the Allison 3000RDS too. Allow 10"-12" for a tarp tower along with your cab to axle.
Idk who you are but you literally just saved my life hahaha with this time change I’ve been meaning to change the time on my work truck but wasn’t able to due to not being accessible to the settings, thanks man
You're so welcome!
How do you change the light bulbs on it? I drive one and I want to change the light bulbs so they’re brighter.
They are actually a sealed OEM light. However, grote has a replacement LED sealed headlight. It's the same headlight used in Mack LE garbage trucks. Part# ends in 909515. We have them in stock if you would like to call us for a quote. Every customer that has upgraded to them love them. Thanks for watching!
Seems like a decent gate
Fantastique truck 👍
They suck
@@michaelbartosiewicz752 why do you feel that way about the RPL22? We have many customers that love this gate. It’s lightweight, power down, and has ramp latch holes in every dock ext if you want to use a ramp. So I’d like to hear what it is you don’t like.
My friend invited me to ride on his Volvo from Chicago to New York, what a beautiful truck, comfortable, pretty and quiet once at cruising speed. ❤❤❤❤❤
Camera man is fired. lol
Cab is way too small . Not comfortable to drive for hours on end .
Mack will offer 4” deeper cab with the Anthem driver seat in the next model year/ 2026 builds.
Fantastic truck
It sure is!
@@rrtruckcenters I'd buy one. Saw it at the 2024 Toronto International Truck Show.
@@rrtruckcentersdoes it come with an option for a air bag gauge
@@carlosmedrano3549 Can you please elaborate? Air bag gauge for what? The FTR currently does not come with safety air bags. It will have air gauges for the air system for the air brakes only. Does that answer your question?
@@rrtruckcenters yeah sorry a suspension load gauge where it shows the psi in the air suspension
Do you still have this unit? Price?
Sorry sir, we do not.
Turn that awful music down
Nice trk
How much
Nice. Do you have a link to the seller?
Safe Fleet. Look for trailer curtains. REAR ROLLER CURTAIN (RRCV)
I apologize, the gate model is a RPM25, not RPL that was stated a few times in the video.
Try pulling it towards you and then push up.
The best
👍
Top of what sir?
Top bunk bed I can’t figure out how to lift it up
Same here anyone knows how to do it
Let me look into this for you and I’ll get back to you in a couple of days. Thanks
Can u lift up the top?
I want one would it be with a sleeper in a 26 ft box with a liftgate
I've seen people do this, but I cannot say I'm aware of body company (Morgan for example) that does a build like this. There's a company in PA that you can take it to for a custom bunk build after it's built. www.pitremodeling.com/video
يارب افوز معكم بشاحنة اعمل بها
If I could double like I would, the button you don't see is right in the of the tommy gate logo👍 Thank you
Annoying that they put the DEF tank on the passenger side wich results in you always pulling in backwards to the pump or thru the Exit but good luck if it's a line of trucks waiting to refuel otherwise I got no problems with it and maybe some of the bolts coming loose so make shure you check those fasteners or you'll loose em of and the halogen lights gota remove the front cover then the bracket and pull the hole light out it just unplugs but yeah a simple twist out bulb design would be faster I think. But all in all its a nice truck I like it.
Will this truck cruise comfortably at freeway speed?
Yes, but you might favor the 5.29 gearing for faster speed and lower RPM's.
@@rrtruckcentersс передаточным 5.29 он сможет ездить только очень медленно. Нужно, хотя бы 4,1

They're just now getting the 6.7 cummins that been in the ram trucks and freightliners for years? That part is not impressive. Everything else I do like about that truck.
The FTR has a lot of company running the Cummins B6.7 motor… Mack MD’s, Hino L6 and L7, International 4300, and Freightliner M2. With our emission levels we continue to have to meet, Cummins is one of the few remaining standing. It takes too much R&D money to invest in the designs of these engines with the constant level changes. Also the reason we are seeing the push to EV’s. At least if the EV’s stop working we can use Cummins diesel generators to charge them.
No it's not the 6.7 that's in the ram
At least with it being the Cummins, you can get the delete done and have it running like it should.
Can you find loca work with a small truck like this though?
Can you order this derated to 26k?
Yes you can Frank, but must be ordered as derated from the factory. You can also order an MD6 with a 10k front and 21k rear. Only snag with a MD6 you cannot get it with a Allison 3000RDS if you're looking for a heavy PTO application (rear loader or dump truck).
@@rrtruckcenters Gotcha, makes sense. What are time frames to place orders through you these days?
Can you do a video how to manually lift it if your pressure hose bust
I will get with my rep and work on this for you in the future, thanks.
Wow you get the POV model in the U.S
You said it's under CDL limit but if you put a box on it it will be over and if it's not over by then, you won't be able to carry a big enough load to make money cause you'll be over 26,000lbs.
The GVWR of the chassis is 25,950 lbs total laden weight. The dry ship weight from factory is 10,492 lbs. I normally add 1,000 lbs to the dry weight to cover when fluids are added, etc. Most applications you will be around 10,000 lbs of payload by the time you add a body. I can't state exact since every body application weights are different. So most applications you'll be able to haul around 10,000 lbs give or take on this truck under CDL. The only application that would limit your hauling weight would be like a rear loader, but you wouldn't run that on this truck since it's it's not the right tranny for that application. So 25,950gvwr is your total laden/hauling weight with body, driver, fuel, and co-worker in the cab. If you go across a scale and you're over that amount you can get a ticket.
@@rrtruckcenters I've been looking at it all wrong. I thought GVWR is the weight the truck is at NOT INCLUDING THE LOAD on the back. Cause I was thinking to myself, "Why would someone that doesn't have a CDL buy a vehicle that weighs 25,950 and it's 50 lbs from being over weight" lol cause then that would leave them 50lb limit of freight.
@@beezytalkingshit9319 sounds like you're on track now. GVWR= total hauling weight with load, driver, and fuel.
My 2023 ftr hooklift ways 17k with a 20yrd can and 50 gallon of fuel . 23k air ride rear 12k front
@@beezytalkingshit9319 that's funny. But I can see why you would think people are dumb. If you look at my truck I limit my self by de rating to 25,950gvw however if I'm over ( witch I do) sometimes I come in at 29k it's not a big deal. I would get nailed by the d.o.tbut as far as the truck it's just a # game for the government. The axel are 12k front and a 21 rear but 23k suspension so I'm not anywhere near hurting the truck because it's really a 33k truck with a different sticker
Can a coffin sleeper be added?
Hi Luke, anyone that does those small sleepers should be able to add one. Like any bunk, you have to factor in the length as your cab to axle measurement will change. The rear wall is sheet metal like all other trucks so it's the matter of having someone that is experienced with doing those. Thanks
Does it come in a manual option?
Sorry it does not. The MD6 can we equipped with Allison 2500HS or 2500RDS. If you need an Allison 3000 but under CDL you can spec a MD7 with a derating of 25,995gvwr and spec with a Allison 3000RDS.
Nice truck
Great video. What is the gear ratio? Also, is there an extended cab version of the truck to have at least 24" behind the seat so it makes a DOT legal sleeper cab?
Nik, thank you for watching! The standard gear ratio is 5.57 but you can option for 4.88 if you choose. If you run mainly flat ground, the 4.88 would be the one you would favor. Concerning the room behind the cab... they currently do not have a deeper extended cab. I was not aware that DOT has a minimum requirement for a DOT regulation for a sleeper, so for that I thank you! The cab does have a track in the ceiling that could be used for a privacy curtain though, but that is not advertised. With your provided info, now I know why. Thanks.
Yesi just bought a 2023 ftr I haven't measured it but it's pretty big I'd say close to 24. There's a track in the ceiling for a curtain.
Wow
M drive bullshit C’mon man what happened to real manual Maxitorque gearbox ???
Only Eaton Fuller manual trans available now, sir.
@@rrtruckcenters ok Thankyou for letting me know
So which tire is more comfortable ride 16" or 19,5" ?
The 19.5” tire. I will warn you though, Isuzu, on the new trucks, they install all drive tires, including on the steer axle. If I were buying a new Isuzu I would immediately remove the steer tires and save them for the rear axle and install true steer tires. The 19.5” take on the potholes much better in the snow belt areas. Thanks
@@rrtruckcenters is the suspension ride quality better than driving a Chassis cab ( ford 350,450,550) Or is about the same? I read online that chassis cab Ford are very uncomfortable to drive/ride is Isuzu better??? Many thanks
@@vikingored7469 there’s many factors that come into play when answering this question. If we are just talking ride alone, yes I would say they’re similar. When you factor in turning radius, visibility, comfort of hauling three people for a day cab, hands down the Isuzu wins the battle.
Me encanta 💖 😍 Pero estándar es más potente. Imagínense, cargado y en subidas!!
excellente truck i like with the power cummins engine with allison tramision question any truck with manual trasmision?
Hi Carlos, the Mack MD Series is currently only available with the Allison 2500HS or 2500RDS. No manuals are available. Thanks for watching.
Can the def tank be mounted on the driver side?
Amil, we are not aware of any relocation kits available for the DEF tank. I feel it's safe to give you a no on that question, as there would be some wiring harnesses and sensors that would come in to play.
I am interested in acquiring one of these trucks. What is the unleaden weight and approximate price range?
HI Blake, unladen weight was 12,560lbs. Price range right now (with the recent price increases) would be in low six figures. This truck has a lot of bells and whistles. Some spec can be taken out to help on costs. If you need help, please give me a call 330-799-1536 and ask for Tim.
I noticed there was no parking sign for the gears. How would you place the truck in park?
Hi Curtis, the Allison 2500 does not have a park paw. You have to use the service brake, the yellow dash brake valve/button. You pull it out and it locks the brakes.
