Fantastic the Council endorsed the Social and Affordable Housing Taskforce. Local government has such a unique position to help in this current housing crisis we find ourselves in. Would have been great to hear councillors speaking in favour of this recommendation. Thank you councillors.

The Wyangala Dam in South Western NSW with it's recent Tsunami type over flow has severely impacted Forbes, Cowra, and Eugowra is exasperating flooding along the Lachlan River, this must impact the Murrumbidgee river flow into the Murray. Council say they can’t put the rates on hold. With the cost of Interest rates going up, power, fuel, food, people are going to be cutting back on sports and other services because you will want more money from the sporting groups. Your green waste fees are killing us small Lawnmowing businesses as we have had fuel costs double from last year and now the exorbitant green waste. We can’t charge an extra $10 per cut to cover the cost of this. How do you think the small businesses in and around Mildura are going to absorb the rate rise for the shop owners also pay this increase on their homes. How much are you receiving from all these Permits and new housing estates that are going up?

As a Greek Orthodox resident of Mildura,It is disappointing for my family and other greek families not to partisapate in our traditional greek easter. We have always walked with the preist and other famillies on deakin ave. accept it was relayed to us all by the preist that the police.and the council have denied us our tradition, the police close off part of the road this has happened in the past. The greek tradition is strong in the community and we would like the support of the council and the police to be back on board for next greek easter, To the Mayor Mr Modica we would like you to bring it up in your next community meeting,if other towns in victoria are able to participate in the traditions then Mildura shouldnt deny us sincerely, Mrs L.Wade
