Leaving this here for other Renault Duster owners :) I have a 2017 Duster, Petrol RXL in Mumbai, India. I got the same error - DF120. As soon as I would insert the key in the car and turn it, there would be a double-beep sound and I would see a red-coloured rectangle with zig-zag lines in it. The car would crank but the engine would not start. When I sent it to the authorised service centre, the problem was detected as "rat has eaten the wire to the crank sensor". After they fixed the wire, problem went away for 1 full year! Just a few days ago, I had the same starting problem. I invited a local car-electrician. He checked the same wire which had been repaired the last time. He said that the repaired wire was catching some corrosion. He cleaned the repaired part with WD40 and then applied a fresh electric tape on the wire. The problem went away. So if you get a red rectangle and double-beep when you turn the car key and the car doesn't start. Get it checked via an OBD fault detector. If the fault is DF120, check the crank sensor first. Hoping someone can benefit from this video and from my comment.
