Yep, I need to stop watching these videos, because I so badly want to drop everything I’m doing to start making pink & green ephemera. 😂 I adore that page you chose from our dyed pages. It’s so pretty and pastel and soft. ❤ Yes it needs to be a stainless steel pin to use as a glue stopper, but be aware, I’ve seen some journalers complain that even tho the ones they bought said they were stainless, they still rusted. So remind me when you’re over this weekend, and I’ll give you a variety of my best quality pins. I haven’t used one as a glue topper, so I have no idea if any of them will rust, but none of the quality ones I’ve got should. Definitely don’t use dollar store pins. Haha I just got to the part in this video where you said you were going to ask me for pins haha Ooooo I love how you made the 2 pockets layered and opening in different directions! I’ve never seen that before, and it adds so much interest to the page.

Her little house is on permanent display in the art gallery in Halifax! And, I figured you’d give it to Darla, to use as an actual book. Lol Yeah, that source book cover is from the late 1800s/early 1900s if I remember correctly. Oh! The dyed paper is onion dyed! The stuff I did a couple years ago. I thought the writing pad was vintage, but maybe you’re right, it’s just originally an off white. Yes, the 2 books were in the bag on purpose. I have SOOO many empty note & sketchbooks, when I sorted them I got rid of a bunch. The other one, it’s a scrapbook/photo album I believe. You don’t remember me sending you a pic of it from the thrift store, I bought it because the leaves do kind of look like weed, I thought maybe you’d use it for your weed journal. 😂 The colouring pages were just because I had 2 of every pic, so yeet!! I can give you a couple master boards for your ssc journal, remind me on Sunday. Hahahahaah way to out me about buying the same book 3 times. Hahahahaha Yeah, I hate the dollar store watercolour pad, thought maybe you’d use could repurpose the paper or something? Sure, I could have, but I was so annoyed after trying watercolour paint on it, I didn’t want to look at it again. And, watercolour paints do exactly what you think they’d do on it, bead up all weird. The big bag of things is the bag I leave on my desk and drop things in there for you as I find them, no organization or anything. I figure if you have to sort it, you get to see it all, and can sort out the stuff you don’t want then. Rob found you the pot leaf in a random parking lot. 😂 OMG are you outing me twice in the same video?!? Tabernac 😂😂😂😂 Hey, one of those teddy bear pics, is that bear dressed as a strawberry??? Maybe you need one of those plastic filing boxes like I have, just for all the images I give you. Ahhahaha Isn’t the grandmother book adorable?!?! If you do take it apart and don’t want the cover, I’d gladly take it back. I love that colour! Oh same with paper pad, if you done want the sheet with cereal & pop tarts, I’ll take it. Haha. The sock is so random, I figured you could maybe use it in one of the boys journals, glad we think alike! I laughed at the random stork sequin; see, I just drop everything in one big ziplock bag! I thought the chalks were a good colour palette for a lot of the themes you use; it would go well with the Ssc journal! Good lord, outing me again?! I thought we were friends! 😂😂😂 That’s 💯 true; you should very rarely have to buy fabric, I’m sure 95% of the time I’ll have whatever you’re searching for. Having said that, you know we’ll both be going to the fabric sale in May! 😂 Oh, the boho curtain type fabric, yeah I don’t really like it, not my style. As you have seen, I don’t have room in my fabric cupboard to be keeping fabric I don’t like. 🤷‍♀️ Oooooo that quilting ruler!!! Excellent find, and that’s an amazing price, they’re crazy expensive new. That one was probably at least $40 new, maybe more. For a small piece of plexiglass with a bit of ink on it. Srsly. Thanks but I don’t need one of the receipt books, I have a couple already 😂. And right, I hate when they put a bunch of identical paper pads/forms in a bag. Almost like they’re bagging them for actual businesses and not us junk journalists. The audacity. 😂 Yes please to the furry yarn. I’ll happily take a couple meters of any fun yarn you find please! That’s one thing I don’t have a huge variety of. Ooo that blue lace is such a pretty and unique blue! Small piece pls? I think it would look good in my 80s journal, yes?

Tip: take photos of your work so you can remember how you wanted it to be. I forget all the time 😅

I usually do about 15-20 papers in a signature. Maybe you could put the pattern in the center, then after you sew in your signature you can reclose the pattern envelope back into a pocket. This would hide the signature threads inside. Love how this is coming together, I will watch 2 and 3 soon! Have a very creative week! xo

I had no idea you were pining after an easy bow maker for years, you should have told me as I’ve seen them from time to time. Also, you don’t need it, at least for the big wired ribbon bows, remind me and I’ll show you how easy they are to make. Sometimes when customers would come into lewiscraft and buy ribbon they’d ask us to make bows for them, so I got lots of practice. Omg those old ice capades programs are awesome. The bell bottoms! I can’t believe you found another version of that SSC, it’s definitely one of the most adorable styles. If I find a punch at VV they want $10 for, you’d better believe I’m making an employee open it so I can test it out. 😂 I hate how our VV always puts a plain pack of cards with a cool pack. Srsly $5 for the 2 rolls of funky yarn isn’t horrible, and it looks like it may be real wool, so that may be why it’s pricey. I love how autumny it looks. Neat 3D Xmas stickers, that snowman is adorable. The teddy bears are adorable, not sure what their purpose was, as both pillows and appliqués should have a seam allowance around it. 🤷‍♀️ I do recommend using the disable web, it’ll help them not fray since the raw edges will be exposed. Oh shoot, too bad I haven’t seen you, as I’m seeing Char tomorrow. But, I assume you, me, and Chat will be frequenting Elise’s maker space, so you can give it all to her yourself. ❤❤❤ I’m going to have to beg her to make me something out of the neon yellow one, srsly.

There goes that whole no more shopping resolution. 😂 Tip for wire: get a set of small jewelry wire tools. I got a set at Michael’s I think it was, and it has the cutter, rounded pliers, and reg pliers but with no teeth so it doesn’t mar the metal. The air dry clay might be that super lightweight stuff, and if it is it’s pretty easy to work with, and would be good to make larger charms for jjs! If you don’t want it, I’d gladly take it off your hands. Ooo that gold mesh trim stuff is cool, thank you for gifting me some! I’ll also gladly take a bit of the purple funky yarn please. Did you just give me the cupcake thing then take it back? Rude. LOL now you have to make me some cupcakes. 😂😂 I have a bunch of royal stuff you can have, just remind me when you’re ready to start that journal. Remind me to send you a link to the documentary where they did the genetics of the royals and found out the windsors aren’t supposed to be on the throne, the rightful heir is some old guy in Australia. And yeah, when one of those cases is full, there’s enough in there to make a good half a dozen journals. My dude, I will take journal fodder leftovers, I mean, I have a whole filing system for that stuff. Then that way, if you ever want to make another, I got you. 🍓❤

Very pretty playing cards, love the ornate pattern. Omg the butterfly oracle cards are gorgeous. Cool HP cards too! Save some of that emerald green ribbon for a future wizard of oz journal! You should make a video of you making some flowers from the cupcake liners. I’ve never seen them, and they sound very neat. Aww the snowman playing cards are very cute, yes I’ll take some please! Oooooo dollarama has the Elmer’s xtreme glue sticks for $3?? 😮😮 I haven’t been feeling xmasey yet, but all the cute little bits you found at dollarama finally makes me want to do xmasey things. One the care bear air fresheners!!!! 😮😮😮 it used to be when something wasn’t specifically priced at dollarama, that meant it was $1. This is not the case anymore, by far. Omg the cat clips are so cute!! Ok, I’m sure I’ve said this before, but you need bifocals. I think they’d end up saving you a lot of money in the long run. 😂😂 The 2 sticker books you got are super gorgeous though. Yeah, $67 was a lot to spend on stickers at once, but to be fair of you had bought each sheet individually at Michael’s, they would have come to a LOT more than that. 🤷‍♀️ oh! I haven’t sorted my fun yarns/fibres yet, but when I do I’ll cut you some. The blue ball you found is so vibrant and pretty. Agreed, Kim was super generous with the vinyl table cloths! She spoiled us. Congrats of finding one! I’ve only ever found one myself, and I was ridiculously excited over this gaudy, meemaw tablecloth. You get me. 😂 I’ve got to sort through my vintage sewing notions, I’ll definitely have some to pass on. I do love how vibrant the raggedy Anne panel is. TBH I’d use it for a journal. We could get it made into a dress and then find out it wouldn’t fit Darla right. There are a million adorable actual baby dress patterns out there, I’d love to make her one sometime. I love making wee clothes; I had made a bunch of clothes for my niece’s 18” dolls, so they were like baby-sized clothes, and so stinking cute and I had so much fun making them. Let’s talk about this after Xmas, remind me! And, I’m sure between the 2 of us, we don’t need to buy a single piece of fabric, trim, or notions to make something for her. Ooo the moulin rouge ribbon is great. That reminds me, I just harvested a Paris book a few days ago, you can have the moulin rouge pages, because I don’t need them for my Paris journal, as we didn’t go there. Oooo that corset die is awesome, imma bum some from you when I eventually make my sewing journal. More stamps. Srsly Deb. Those ones are really nice tho, and unlike a lot of your stamp collection, you could use those often, on many different things. You didn’t finish your stamp/die organizing?? Srsly. I can come over and help again, but not until after Xmas. Ohhhhh you had given me a bit of the shelf linter stuff, I was wondering what I was supposed to do with it. 😂 I love the pattern too, so I didn’t want to just use it for mark making when making painty paper. Show me what you do with it!

We did a bit of paper. 😂 Yes to a painty paper day. I’ve been watching a lot of painty paper videos and am really feeling the need to make some. Agreed, the newsprint feels more….sturdy after being died. It’s weird, I have no idea why it does, but I’ll take it. You had some real asmr going on with all the crinkling, such a satisfying sound. Hahah you totally outed me for baking that one stencil. Savage. 😂😂😂 To be fair tho, it didn’t melt/warp as badly as I thought it would. It’s still usable, right? 😂 we’ll have to experiment with the neon pink paper again next time, I think we could get some really cool effects. I like the way the edges of the long paper too, how the edges are way darker. I bet we could repeat the effect, but maybe put parchment or something between the pages to stop the dried edges sticking together so badly 🤔 oooo the Xmas ornament placemat has pretty patterns on it, gotta grab that one too. I’m going to scan some do my pages in. I normally don’t use digitals, but I can see me using a few of these over and over, especially that one, you know what one I mean. 😂 if you want I can scan whatever ones of yours too. I wish I had’ve thought of it before we divided them up and you took yours home. Next time we’ll have to scan the best ones before we divide them up. Oh the quilting pattern paper was even thinner than the plain newsprint, but it’s also now a lot stronger feeling. 🤷‍♀️ Glad you got to finally do this video. Watching you go through yours was as exciting as going through my own!

OMG that stamp!! Do you even like wine?? LOL I'm glad you bought it tho because when I was sorting my images I discovered that I have a bunch of nice wine pics, so plan on doing a wine journal in the very distant future. Love the Santa seal one, and it's funny because I thought "omg embossed" like one second before you said it. Read the label on the stamp cleaner, I had gotten a bottle one time that was weird, it sounded all toxic or something. It was like don't come in to contact with skin, wash stamp well with water after cleaning etc. Just want to make sure you're not going to melt your skin off or something. A toothbrush works well to get the cleaner into the wee grooves. The cleaner pad thing is just an old-fashioned lint brush, as Rob so smugly pointed out after I had bought one from SU years ago. Good find on the wallpaper border. I've never seen them package a bunch of different designs together, just a bunch of one design in one bag. I guess tho, makes sense if they only get one pkg. Not sure who would want a package of 4 different single packages of wallpaper border, all different designs, other than us JJers tho. I guess, if you wanted to do one wall in a bunch of different rooms in your house. lol Speaking of, Rob and I were talking yesterday about wallpaper. I was telling him the price from spoonflower for my bathroom paper isn't that bad after all, as I've been harvesting some decor magazines, and the prices in there are $200+ per roll. He says "well, think of it this way; wallpapering that one wall in the bathroom is going to cost as much as your new phone. Which would you rather have, one wall papered, or a phone?" Me, without hesitation: "Wallpaper. 100%." Not joking; I can learn to live without a phone. I adore that wallpaper, and it would spark so much joy every time I went to the bathroom. He didn't know what to say, he wasn't expecting that answer at all. haaahha I think my favourite thing from this haul is the bag of flowers. It was like a clown car, you just kept hauling more and more and more out of there. LOL

I have my trims on tp rolls that I flattened and covered with book pages. I have an old vintage wooden tool box where I store them.

I am with you, I like a clean organized work space... I just moved so now I get to resort and organize everything! alot of work, and I am always looking for great organizing things.

Omg SO satisfying to watch! I love your idea of putting the trims in safety pins then clipping those to the ring. I was just going to loop them all individually on the hoop. Your way it’ll be much easier to take them off, totally stealing it. 😂 Ooooo, hanging the hoop horizontally would be amazing! Not only functional, but also decorative. You’d just make the top like the top of the mobile, 3-4 lines tied equidistant around the hoop, meeting in the middle above it, all tied to a ring. The only issue I’d have is what height to hang it. It needs to be low enough to easily unclip the safety pins, but you don’t want it so low it’ll get in your way. My first thought was to hang it on a hook from the ceiling with a bungee cord you could pull down, but then you’d have to wrestle with it not to spring back up while you’re trying to pin the safety pins. What about like a pulley type thing? Like put a hook in the ceiling, and make the cord you’re hanging it by long, and loop it to a hook on the wall. Like one of those plug in pendant lamps. My first thought was to use fishing line, but you could use something more decorative. Lower it to use it, then pull it back up out of the way when you’re not.

I think some ppl use that as a general term for any of the funky yarns tho. And speaking of, you can’t find any of that type of “fun fibre” yard new anymore, the Lu were a 90s/00s fad. So, when you find them at thrift shops, grab them. I of course have a bunch I can give you too. LolI can’t believe you still don’t wear your glasses while shopping. Not doing so is literally costing you money. 😂 smarten up

Martha Stewart glitter glue is good. I had bought the big pack way back, and they wrote well and looked so pretty when dried. I haven’t used them in forever tho, so at this point they might be dried up. Don’t bleach the care bear cups; bleach eats some plastics. There are gentler things you can use, google it. Regardless of what you use, I’d stay away from the images, anything that can take the yellow out of plastic will probably easily remove any printing. Turns out the game thing was called Disney Infinity, and it’s apparently been discontinued. Omg that book plate is amazing, bring the book over next time you come and I’ll scan it. Can’t print it in colour atm, but soon! I started collecting book plates by accident; I can’t resist them! More little golden books?! 😆 Awwwww chatty little Ares. Are you starving that cat again? 😆

Really nice haul and finds ❤ as for that placemat just brush thinned white/ wood glue on the back and then cut the shapes when it dried 😊 I use this method with beaded fabric too 😊

I recently went to a flea market this past month. One person there had closed out her scrapbook store. She was selling everything that you could fit in a bag for $10. I ended up paying 10 cents a set. I got dies, punch system, embossing folders, stamps, and a few Tim Holtz and other things. She said that she would be back next year with more. My favorite thing you found was the Paris fabric. Does it have the name of the company who made it. Great haul.

Your Google camera is wonderful to take pictures for identification purposes...Use the chipped up Bobbin for a Dangle...Envelopes for great Template...Catalog Cutouts? Absolutely!!!Try ironing leaves and flowers for Specimen cards...Cut the Tab on a Fold...Love the Untensil Holder, for the Craft Room and Kitchen...The clear Sticky Notes, my daughter gave me some...she bought the, to use for her Anatomy class, to trace organs, etc...
