Добавлен 15 мар 2021
Hi! My name is Katie and I just love to make things! From acrylic pouring to resin art, jewelry making, or just mixed media in general, I love it all. Fluid art, or acrylic pouring art is my current favorite form. The unpredictability of this medium just gets my gears going. It has so many possibilities!
Now, I am by no means a professional at any of my hobbies. That's the thing though, you don't have to be! Being able to relax and enjoy yourself is what a hobby is all about.
This channel is for anyone that likes to watch the creation of art in different mediums. I will bring you along my process of creating a piece. I experiment a lot and I am excited to be able to share those results with all of you!
I am currently on a break until I can get my new work schedule down and start a routine. I will update as soon as possible with the new posting schedule!

Cell Filled Acrylic Paint Pour: Along With Updates on the Future of the New Normal Channel
Hey guys!
So, in this video, I have another cell-filled acrylic paint pour to share with you. I have been creating acrylic pours for years now. It has always been a source of joy and amazement for me. This channel started as a way for me to share the information that I have gathered over my years of experimentation. It has been wonderful to share with you all.
That being said, I am going to have to take a step back on posting for a bit. I am starting a new full-time job as of the day this video is posted. This will take a significant chunk out of the time I have to spend on editing. I do not plan on abandoning the channel, but until my new routine is in place, I will not be able to keep u...

Open Cup Paint Pouring Art Create Beautiful Fluid Acrylic Paintings With This Easy Syringe Technique
Просмотров 80Год назад
In this video, I am experimenting with large syringes filled with fluid acrylic paint. My idea was to “inject” the various colors into an open cup full of a white base. Once the paints are added into and on top of the base layer, I release the cup to create beautiful cell-filled acrylic pouring art. This method was a bit messier than I really considered before getting started. These syringes ha...

Fluid Acrylic Pouring Swipe Using Silicone Laced Acrylic Paints to Create Incredible Cell Action
Просмотров 86Год назад
In this video, I am using silicone-laced fluid acrylic paints to create incredible cells and lacing. Unless you are a complete beginner, you probably know by now that silicone oil is used in a lot of acrylic paint pouring methods. The silicone acts as a catalyst in cell creation. The action comes from the silicone surrounding paint particles and pushing the colors around. Since paints have diff...
Rainbow Glitter Pour: Fluid Acrylic Painting with a Rainbow of Colors and Glitter Cell Activator
Просмотров 38Год назад
In this video, I am combining a rainbow of colors with a nice, sparkly, glitter cell activator. I have really fallen in love with this color scheme over my last few acrylic pour paintings. I’m using Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet; or ROY G BIV. As something new, I have been testing out some ways to use a glitter cell activator that I mixed up at random. I am using the swip...

Golden Rainbow Swipe: Fluid Acrylic Art Using Brilliant ROY G BIV Colors
Просмотров 22Год назад
When I was young, I was taught the colors of the rainbow by using ROY G BIV. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Today, I am taking those colors and creating fluid acrylic art. This Golden Rainbow swipe is a stunning combination of colors that jump off the canvas. You don’t want to miss it! The colors I am using today are mixed with Floetrol and water. In the five-ounce cups, ...
Rainbow Chameleon Pour: Creating Unusual Cells with Small Dots of Silicone Oil in Fluid Paint
Просмотров 96Год назад
In today’s pour, I am creating a rainbow chameleon pour. This pouring method involves adding small dots of silicone oil across the canvas full of fluid paints. It creates unusual cell patterns that look similar to scales. This is a simple method that even beginners can enjoy experimenting with. To mix my paints, I am using Floetrol and water as the pouring medium. In the five-ounce cups, I have...
Glitter Cell Activator: Testing of a New Activator Combination Full of Glitter and Lacing
Просмотров 121Год назад
In this video, I’m testing out a new combination for a cell activator. This time I’m using a glittery gouache as the paint base for the activator. While I wasn’t really sure what was going to happen with it, I thought I would give it a shot and see what it could do. My cell activator mixture is simple; paint, Floetrol, and silicone oil. That’s all you really need for a lot of gorgeous cells and...
Flip Cup and Swipe- Combo Acrylic Pour Using Leftover Paints and Cell Activator
Просмотров 40Год назад
In today’s video, I am using up some of my leftover mixed paints to combine a flip cup pour with a swipe. Recently, I have been trying out a few different ways to combine acrylic pouring methods. My go-to favorite method is the swipe. Since I know it can get boring to watch the same thing over and over again, I have been looking for different ways to switch it up. There have been some mixed res...

Today I’m creating a golden river by combining acrylic paints and mica powders. For this acrylic pour, every color, except for the Mars Black, has mica added in. Adding mica powder is an easy way to switch up your ordinary acrylic paint colors. If you’re like me and have a crow brain that loves shiny things, you aren’t going to want to miss this swipe. I added in my mixing session for this pour...

Giant Acrylic Paint Swipe: Swiping For Fun on a Very Large Canvas

The Silicone Viscosity Series: All Silicone Oils and Mineral Spirit Mixtures Side By Side Comparison
I'm so sorry you have not posted in over a year. Your channel has been one that helps us who have a smaller budget. However, I hope all is well.🎉🎉🎉❤
Very pretty. FYI, tkb trading has great mica powders for really cheap
Fantastic breakdown of the effects of the different pouring mediums .thank you 😊
Wow it’s a great combination of colors and cells that you achieve… What is 80k in the CA?
what do you mix in the interference colours? to start? is it just your basic pouring medium?
Wonderful and informative! Should I layer opaque over transparent?
Lots of good information!
Excelent video , thanks a lot.
Thanks for this
Just starting out, I've seen where everyone seems to use a cell catalyst ( clueless 😢 ) can a drop of silicone on a spatula layer with acrypaint work the same way? Not sure if I just made sence🤔
Thank you for sharing! Beautiful pours. New sub, found you on Reddit 🙂. Can you plz tell me if you use water or oil based minwax pre stain? I’m just starting out (without lessons 😬) so much to learn.
Penetrol is similar to Australian Floetrol, oil based. The major component is linseed oil .
WOW! Thank you! That is beautiful!
Gorgeous colors! You should let the paint sit for a little bit after you blow over it & before you spin? I’ve noticed a lot of cells & lacing come up that way. Regardless, your paintings are so beautiful & I LOVE all the glo pigments you use… very inspirational! Hope your back is feeling better
Have wanted to try this for a while. Love the video. Can't wait to see more of your vids! Do you think the minwax is the crucial ingredient here? If you wouldn't mind sharing the gel you use? Also really enjoyed the cadence and voice tone!!!
To get a white pearlised (oyster effect ) do I just mix pearlised mica with plain white acrylic?
Does each paint manufacture have a standard P number for true primary colors? What is a true black color code?
How do you attach the canvas to the turntable to keep it from falling off when you spin it?
Do you know if he adds any water to his mix?
What medium did you use?
Love your 'methods'!
I am so damn happy to hear that I'm not the only one who experiences doing the same thing and the paint doing stuff differently every time! Makes me feel nuts but it's art. Lol
Wonderful piece how much ox did us put in. I find it challenging as it comes out of the bottle in gel form. I love the piece
Can anyone tell me please ty
Is polly is that glue
Ten minutes of mixing is a bit much
Great information and video!!!
Awesome video! Thanks for the great explanation!
What kind of gel medium do you use? And as for the base, is it base C or what is your base mix?
Awesome suggestion about splitting the paint into 2 cups!
it came out great! so sick, good job!! 💣🕸🦇
I like how you all pretend help we all know what these ingredients are LOL
What are you talking about Kurt?
This was a first for me, I have never seen anyone use gold as a swipe color before. Turned out great.
I have a lot of success using gold cell activator as well. Glad you enjoyed it!
Very beautiful! Love it ❤
Thank you! 🥰
Such pretty colors 😍 I just love florescent and glow paints!! I have some amazing glow paints from Technoglow no blacklight needed. Charges by light by day glows all night long. I think you would really like them too.
I'll have to check them out. These also glow by just regular light, but the black light is more efficient 😊
How fun! I love it when kids help paint! And the cat wanted to leave its mark too 😉 making it a cherished painting to hang on the wall and always remember when....😊
They enjoy helping me out from time to time. 🥰 I already have a spot picked out for when it's cured!
Gorgeous, love this technique. Thank you for sharing❣️😁
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Another interesting color pallet!!
Thanks!
Cool overview of the paint going out of funnel and then spreading out!
Watching the paint spread is one of my favorite parts, so I've been trying to get close ups of the action lately!
@@NewNormalEclecticDesigns you're doing a fine job!!
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it!
Great techniques, looks gorgeous.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
I like the colors in this painting
Thanks! If I have a hard time deciding on colors, I usually do a search for color palette ideas. There are TONS of them out there to choose from!
Imagination is wonderful 😅
I love how everyone sees something slightly different!
It was like nothing but cells coming out of the funnel
I really like this funnel set. It came with an extra strainer insert that you can snap into the bottom. It has given me some pretty awesome results!
@@NewNormalEclecticDesigns I think I seen the strainer , in the center of the funnel with all the small holes. I was wondering what that was, it certainly worked well for producing cells.
I've never tried a swipe like this, but now I really do wanna try it. This came out very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Swipes are easily my favorite method to use! I feel like I have a bit more control over the situation. Pours are still chaotic, of course, but it at least gives the illusion of taming the chaos 😂 I'm glad you enjoyed it! Let me know how it works for you if you give it a shot!
Nice swipe!
Thanks!
These paintings are absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed them! 🥰
You are really good. I've been watching videos for 4 years, painting for 3 and a half. Your color pallets are spot on. Technique is good. And composition rocks!
Thank you so much! Color mixing is one of my favorite parts of pouring! I'm glad to know others like what I come up with!
Gorgeous colors!! ❤
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
❤ thank you!
🥰
Those florescent paints make the painting come alive with color!!
I have a real love for fluorescent paints! They definitely make me happy 😊
@@NewNormalEclecticDesigns oh yes me too!
