At 38:02 you see the impact of the thrown ball on the court, even if there is no additional ref on the line. Then the ref can make his call.
Age is a disease which never goes away.
Getting my eggs now.
These players are unreal
BUT .....think of the poor worms.
there's worse ways for worms to die

Thank you for your interview skills and documenting our sport for history. Mike, have you played volo with brass balls?

I can’t wait for April 1st!
Make it illegal. Love Laura
hahaha. merry christmas eve laura!
Boom!!
I believe the mental clarity and zen-like focus required to successfully execute a shot like this is one of the least understood health benefits of this sport. Many sports contain thus hyper-focus, (bow shooting, darts, billiards, etc.) but for many of these they do not require the balletic, stretching motion of bocce. Plus the social interaction of the sport is so beneficial for our health. Love Laura
very thought provoking. i would have to agree!
You deserve an Oscar for that camera work!!! Love Laura
thanks laura!
@ Consistent improvements. Very impressive.
Most likely the original game our cave dwelling ancestors played with rocks. They could not stick anything. Love Laura
i get it! hahaha
Did you hit all the ducks in precision shooting?
nah but did get a personal best score of 10. the d line kills me still
Like cutting prosciutto di Parma, THIN.
Mystery of the ages: What did you have for lunch.
haha is that what i talked about during the game? i dont remember unfortunately
Yes, you talk about food a lot. It gets me hungry.
Thank you. Better than the original.
Impressive.
Then what is the line for? If it’s legal how far past the line can you go? Can you go to half court? Who’s the judge of how far is to far?
good questions. we play on 60 ft courts so we dont have the luxury of a 4m shooting line like you guys. its somewhat subjective for us. basically, as long as you start at the backboard, youre only taking three steps, and your back foot is trailing behind the line when you release then it is acceptable. the players are the judges. you will often see people complaining in the comments but none of the players or spectators in the room are complaining. that is why. definitely can be confusing for sure and not the best for a tv audience who can easily be left wondering what the lines mean
Always should've been like hoops at the free throw line....outa hand before crossing....cause there's no way of stopping one going to half
there absolutely is a way of stopping people going to halfcourt. thats why youve never seen anyone go to halfcourt and again why you dont see the opponents complaining about these shots. this conversation gets so exaggerated sometimes. everybody that shoots like this takes the same last step maybe a foot or two over the line with the back foot trailing behind the line. that is the rule and thats why the only complaints come from people watching at home. this was never an issue until the advent of streaming and people started complaining from their couches. its not the easiest rule to understand but what you see is a far cry from “going to halfcourt.” i totally agree that there is room for improvement on this rule but right now everyones complaints are unsubstantiated
Way over the line when he released the ball.
Like glue

I'm not familiar with some of the international rules. When are you permitted to bump the pallini? I saw several really good shots that were not allowed in this game.
when rolling, pallino can only be bumped up to 70 cm and when shooting, if you call another ball and hit pallino instead, then it's also an invalid shot. doest that explain it?
@boccebroadcastnetwork that explains it! Thank you 👍.
@robertmorganti5074 no problem 🤝
Hi sweeney
When you have the chance to take a shot, which you will remember when you are 94 years old, take it!
I know this is your attitude about taking risks.
hahaha absolutely it is!
so difficult against the wall!
Aah Olympic Sport definitely!!! 😂😂😂
