I can't stop laughing. I, too, am desperate for zongzi but the reason why I can't just make it when I have access to all the ingredients is because I'm poor AF. The bamboo leaves are expensive where I'm from, and I'm in ASIA!!! But banana leaves grow abundant here and I can get some for free. I was searching for a video that used it. I was thinking bamboo leaves give the zongzi its distinct flavor, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I can use banana leaves. With this economy I don't want to waste pork belly but I suppose I have no choice because the fugging leaves are more expensive than pork belly! Thank you for the video, you are hilarious!

If you read the description areas I post the link to the regular macaron. Also, I posted the recipe for the less sugar macaron there. It's exactly the same way making the regular ones and the less sugar one except it's less sugar amount in the recipe 🤠

Thanks for the lovely comment. The cases isn't entirely zero sugar because it won't hold the shape if it's zero sugar. It's just less sugar 😉☺️😉 Yes the amount of almond flour for this recipe is the same with the regular macarons

I’ve spent probably around six months over the years travelling in Indonesia. I trained with an Indonesian buddy to become a dive instructor and lived locally so I picked up a bit of Bahasa Indonesia at the time. Then a couple of years ago a friend of mine got an Indonesian girlfriend, and that inspired me to take up studying indonesian again with the duolingo app. Of course an app is not enough to get truly proficient with a language, but I am hoping to return to Indonesia one day, and meet old friends and get some proper practical exercise. Meanwhile I like to watch cooking videos like yours, they remind me of various meals I have been trying to recreate over the years, and there is always some little nuggets of wisdom to be found. Thanks for the upload.
Awww so sweet thanks dear your story has made my day. Let me know if you want me to make a specific Indonesian dishes. My channel is for practicality in cooking. As you know Indonesian dishes are so complicated to make, maybe because they live with live in helpers. But recently even in Indonesia hiring a helper is a challenge. Here in the U.S. we also meet with challenges to find the ingredients so my channel simplifies and shortcuts a lot of steps. I hope you share my channel with your friends especially the one who married to Indonesian girl 😎😎

@@shespractical7272 I’ll mention it - yeah, ingredients are a problem, at least for some of the ones I know, so I also use the shortcuts. Although I did take the time to make coldpressed coconut oil in my kitchen on a couple of occasions. It’s super work intensive and only a little oil comes out of it, but it’s soooo fragrant. :D There is something which I have forgotten the name of, I believe it is a sort of dark root, nut or fruit core that is used, shredded or grated I think, in traditional Javanese ox tail soup. It has a sort of sour tangy taste to it as I recall, but I’ve lost track of what it really is, any ideas?
@@whynottalklikeapirat impresif you're making your own coconut oil? How do you do that I'm curious 🤣. As far as I know Indonesian making it by boiling coconut milk until it's become coconut oil. I'll ask my Javanese friends if they know what is the ingredient you've mentioned since I never cooked ox tail myself 😁

You didn’t invent using the back of the pan. The sides act as heat conductors so sometimes the cookies closer to the sides cook more quickly than those in the middle. Flat baking sheets can also be purchased. I don’t think that quirk had anything to do with the sugar content.
Sometimes, we come up with an idea and it's not bad to think we invented it because in a way, we invented it for ourselves. Sometimes I think of new devices and and then come across it later on. It's fun to let people be happy . I'm not saying you tried to make her sad . You were factual in your statement actually .
I bake it with the flat baking pan, have tried with and without parchment paper, silicone mat, but the upside down ordinary dark baking sheet I used in the video giving the best result in term of the macarons best texture condition which is crunchy outside and chewy inside outside
