The 80s spoiled us…Proof! Usually I make that statement on music topics, but then again, what’s this? A gal I was dating in 86, during the Alf era, bought me a Talking Alf. One of my favorite gifts ever. She surprised me with it since there was no holiday involved. Crazy. I haven’t seen her for over thirty years. I wonder if she’s still “cute”. She knew I was a huge Alf fan and totally busted my balls over it, jokingly , then gave me the talking Alf. I was 18 years old and had a talking Alf. My long haired, metal head, friends tried to tease me. The teasing let up since I had one of the only cars of our bunch and I gave Alf shotgun, unless my girlfriend was along. Eventually my best friend found tiny black heavy metal t shirts and we dressed Alf accordingly. I watch Alf on ROKU now.

I haven't heard this song for about 25 years and it came out I remember every word and sound in it. I had it on VHS and sang along hundreds of times when I was a schoolboy. And I was absolutely sure I'd meet Alf one day. And he was my friend
