      For sure, I wouldn’t consider the aggressive Mexican style of play to be “Unga.” I also don’t think that all Mexicans play aggressively. It’s a style many top Mexican players use, and a very successful style! West coast players are also known to be more aggressive and East coast players are known to be more defensive. Doesn’t mean every player in either region only play that style.

    Why are you +2 on regular parry? Should the advantage be that same as on block? Does parry remove the extra advantage from the meaty?

    • @whynotsebastian
      @whynotsebastian 5 месяцев назад

      Great question. On a regular parry the frame data does not change from when it's on block. Regular parry DOES regain some of your drive gauge and reduce knockback though compared to blocking. Further, if you don't parry a strike, you will have a long recovery period to your parry during which you can still block, but you can get punish counter thrown. When you parry a strike - that long recovery window is replaced by the blockstun of the move you parried.

    • @BiggBossChanel
      @BiggBossChanel 5 месяцев назад

      @@whynotsebastian so you still -2 point blank and guessing again right? Not saying regular parry here is bad because of course it's an upgrade from blocking but the video makes it sound like regular parry will give you your turn back

    • @whynotsebastian
      @whynotsebastian 5 месяцев назад

      I think there’s a misunderstanding. If you stand block/regular parry the overhead you’re +2 (not -2) and you can take your turn back. A perfect parry will give you a higher frame advantage and the ability to either punish counter grab or do a punish counter combo. Hope that helps.
