Only 20 left on the road now. I bought one new when they came out. Commuted on it, and was in the TRF so it went green laning on Sundays as well. Had to get the gear selector fixed when it jammed in 2nd gear in the middle of nowhere, but it was a free Honda fix due to a design fault. Great bikes, loved the way the engine sounded like a bag of spanners on tickover but was silky smooth once the revs increased.

Had the mtx 125 bought it for £150 back in 2000 as a up the woods mess around discovered it still had a valid v5 ended up fully restoring it had wheels made as i could never find any that didn't need rebuilding cost me £300 but was worth every penny black rims Stainless spokes blue powered coated frame black plastics many replacement pistons lol but easy to work on loved that bike regret selling it to buy a car

Loved the power band around 8000 when I put the micron on and specially when I went to sevenoaks to pick it up from STAN STEPHENS wow what a ride back to Sth London that was had to run it in again after the stage 2 job on it few weeks later I clocked 93 mph on it on the A2 brilliant bike engine strong as an ox

My original silencer kept melting number plates. Neat litle hole burned through. Had to put a piece of aluminium behind the number plate. Not sure but I think there is a speed limiter in the speedo. I can drop a gear at full speed. But it does not go above 135 kmh. Great litle bike but uses a lot of fuel.

I have a original mtx 200. Great bike but very heavy fuel consumption. Always puts a smile on my face

Hi Chris I have a Honda MBX125 which was stripped down years ago I rebuilt the engine but need to do everything else do you have any contacts for parts at all kind regards

Sounds great, almost just like a KMX 200 with the same exhaust. A performance expansion chamber would have been great on the MTX to really wake it up.
