To some, it seems like only yesterday that National Educational Television, the precursor to what of course, is today known as the Public Broadcasting Service. This is NET's first logo, called either "Roof", "The NET Logo", or "The Tri-Colored Roof of Doom", depending on what you think of it. Enjoy the video.

The "MPC of Doom", as some people call it, is one of the rare logos that is sure to be noticed by many. One of the all time scariest logos, this logo was used from 1968 until around 1982. Enjoy at your own risk.

It needs no introduction, but I'll give it one anyway. The one the only "V of Doom". Used from 1976 until 1986, this is considered second only to the "S from Hell" as the scariest logo of all time. Watch at your own risk.

Here it is, the granddaddy of all scary logos, the Screen Gems "S from Hell" logo, used from 1965 until the company was absorbed into Columbia Pictures Industries in 1974.

The "Rainbow TPS" logo

Here is one of my favorite logos, the Turner Program Services "Rainbow" logo. It was used from 1982 until 1992. This logo is noted as one of the scariest logos of all time, but I don't agree with that theory. I think it is actually a pretty high-tech logo, at least for its time anyway.
