Lee was driven to and from school each day in a chauffeured limousine. He was enrolled in acting classes at the age of 5 and later dance classes. I could go on but I hope you get the idea. He had a personal collection of films of boxing matches, and other such studies. He read and researched broadly too, from Chinese martial arts (wing Chun, tai chi),Japanese arts like Judo, Jiu Jitsu and Karate, boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, savate, fencing, escrima/Kali. "The difference between 'doing' and 'being'..." Bruce not only applied this philosophy to his martial arts but to his acting as well. Bruce was a phenomenal actor - because unlike 99% of other actors, Bruce didn't "act," rather he "became." In other words, when Bruce expressed emotion on the screen, any emotion, it was true and real. And it showed. Take note, Hollywood.

I read in a Sunday newspaper magazine an excerpt of an interview with Sarah Miles. Just a paragraph with Bruce's photo (used on Matt Polly bio). She worked with Lawrence Olivier. The first time she saw Bruce on film she said, "He was the greatest actor I've ever seen." I forget what else she said. It was something like "his intensity."
