The TF2 Offline Experience on Xbox
Hi, I updated the thumbnail and title for this video because is was causing some confusion. The original thumbnail gave off the impression that you could no longer play TF2 online on the Xbox, which you still can as of July 12 2024, which was my mistake and hopefully with this new thumbnail and title better conveys my message. TF2 made its impact on me way back sometime in the summer of 2010. So I wanted to revisit it and rediscover feelings that have been forgotten. I go in depth on how younger me went about and felt towards the game when initially playing it. The awkward and often creepy vibes that arose from walking around those empty TF2 maps. As well as compare the TF2 of then and no...

Early 2000's Interactive TV Games
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.2 месяца назад
I wanted to take a look back on a weird time for TV in the early stages of interactive TV. Specifically the gaming side and a part that I hold fond memories of. I discuss the Winky dink show, the Sega channel, and the Dish Network's own PlayinTV channel. As well as explain the significance of these earlier years to me.
The Oldest View's Nostalgic Affect

From watching the oldest view by kane pixels a year ago and recently listening to Wasted summers by juju, I finally went ahead and decided now was the time to go and visit my childhood mall and commemorate it in a video essay. I ask the question of whether or not malls hold any hate for humanity's neglect for them. Everyone is leaving, and what will be left will be just a building.

In my obsession with Jamiroquai's "Virtual Insanity" I came to realize similarities to Harlan Ellison's "I have no mouth, and I must scream". Exposing a Jojihead to filthyfrank

Revisiting filthyfrank after years got me thinking about how, there are a group of people that don't know Joji's past on the internet, or even his history as a youtuber. So, today I want to help bridge that gap in audiences, and expose a joji fan to filthyfrank.

Wide eyes can be a creepy sight in a horror context. Something about them give off an uneasy vibe, one that will instantly put you in a more alert sense to your surrounding. The question of change in gaming

Body horror in unsuspecting videogames
Просмотров 7 тыс.Год назад
After going on a Wendigoon binge, the topic of body horror came to me. The first thought after was gta 4's statue of liberty and the easter egg inside it, which probably traumatized me when I was a kid. It got me thinking, are there other instances of Body horror in other videogames? #JJJreact

Today I look back on a game I played to death when I was a youngin and analyze how it captures the snowboarding experience, to the movement and physics, to charming little details
THANK YOU FOR PUTTING Transformers FOC in the intro. One of my personal favorite transformers games ever
They had ranked matches decade before the PC port
Microsoft went down 3 points
I Need a tf2 port on switch.
2 port 😱
I moved to TF2 PC recently but played on 360 for years. Loved the ability to bhop and clown with glitches lol
6:52 Don't take this the wrong way, but this is both sad and funny, sad because, well. You couldn't play the games, even tho THEY'RE RIGHT THERE, in your hands. Funny because.....why the fučk would you buy games for a console you don't have (Is this a Dumb Kid scenario, or a dumb parents scenario) It reminds me of those memes where parents would by switch games and ps5 controllers for their kids Xbox XD
@Fatih_M177 I honestly couldn't tell you who's fault it was to get the game's first, but my family is big on hand-me-downs so the game's were probably just given to me at some point, lol
RASAAAAAAAAHHH
I had a similar thing for me when I was really little on Minecraft. Our game didn’t update and I would see kids with witches and dragons and all kinds of crazy things on their Minecraft shirts and wonder what it was like. Then I got a switch a few years later.
i remember that when i tried to pick a class the spy looked the coolest to me and i immediately picked him. Then i discovered he can backstab and he became my favorite class. So im a spy main all the way since i was like 10 years old to now 13 years later never changed
I need that menu ui for pc game and lightwarp.
Dudeee this video seriously speaks my past man. Owning downloaded Minecraft maps on Xbox 360 felt like treasure. There was no creative, so when you whipped some crazy PC like hunger games map people went Crazy! Nothing felt better… the maps felt so special too to point where I just explore them for hours. Alright ima continue finishing the video.
22 now btw back when I was around 12 - 13, insane…
I can still play it actively, you probably got this mixed up with the PS3 version
I played orange box a few months ago and play on a half life mod, it’s very easy to hack because there is no support to stop them but they just hack to make cool maps or adjustments. Edit: I forgot to mention there are some pretty full servers
i preach the use of superliminal soundtrack. nice vibes.
6:39 no one in history will ever experence this ever
It’s eerie how identical to my first experience with TF2 this is.
#savexboxtf2
Microsoft is stopping support for xbox 360 so sadly there most likely won't be any change. :'/ They're also shifting focus towards the new gamepass...
god tf2 was my first game ive ever played i have so many vivid memorys with the game. I was 4 at the time of first ever playing
song at start ?

@@yriaddairy thank you so much! wasnt expecting you to see the comment but while youre here i have to let you know this was an amazing video :) keep up the good work!!
@@seunkuru Thanks so much man, I appreciate it!
I still like to play on it.
the orange box still goes hard
Why I always preferred the PS3 version tbh
I have The Orange Box on PS3, should I plug it in again?
I actively play Xbox tf2 I love it
da time is 20:10
tf bots wouldn't have been perfect but it would have been something
At least we got bots now. Too bad they aren't optional.
Watched this whole video, this is how it felt to play offline with many online games I had as a kid. Thank you for this experience.
I saw Banjo-Kazooie Nuts&Bolts
I wish the ps3 orange box servers was still online😢
I played 360 version for a few months b4 I got PC version back in 2008 and I'm glad I did cause just like you described it was way lonelier and I got to appreciate the art style and maps more. Also seeing how ridiculous looking the game eventually became with all the hats, the 360 version is like a time capsule back to when Valve was in their prime and purest form. Great video.
I played TF2 on the Xbox 360 yesterday and I found a full lobby, it’s the time zone and Country your from.
Still wish this was available
Yo I remember this sunrise mall in New York , I had my first date there, it was in massapequa I lived 30 minutes away from the Sunrise mall
i still have orange box PC DVD
Why is this so relatable 😢
i also didn’t have xbox live so I just walked around in tf2 maps alone, i didn’t have a good pc but i loved tf2 vids on youtube
Yriad actually sounds like another youtuber
@@The_Real_SmolOrTem who?
@@yriaddairy you sound like ratlobber
That’s normal all game from Xbox 360 era end for simple money so shut down old work better for quick buck
About a year or two ago was the last time I actually was able to find an active lobby. It’s been a while since i last checked but every time I did there was no games available.
Back in late '09 we lost the landline to our house, and with it I lost any chance of consistent online gaming for the next 5 years. I got a copy of The Orange Box the month after that loss, really hoping that console TF2 had some sort of offline experience, as it was mainly the reason I bought it. I wanted a piece of what every GMod animator was playing at a time when I didn't have a suitable PC. The whole backrooms energy of booting up a private server off-network personifies my loss of broadband internet at the time, and it made my waiting for taking my copy of the game to a friends house a really big deal. In the interim the only thing keeping me company was the trains on CP Well.
When I was younger I had an Xbox 360, I used to watch this youtuber at that time named PlayingWithMahWii. He would make playthroughs of TF2 on Steam and to my young brain thought it looked amazing. He had quite a few mods and the game just looked really cool. I stumbled across the very same issue as in the video. I did not have or know about Xbox Live, and was sad that I couldn't play TF2. I didn't even know how to host the server myself. After a few months I ended up convincing my parents to pay for Xbox Live. The ONLY memory I have of playing TF2 online was spawning in to 2fort, walking out of spawn, turning to the right towards the courtyard, and about 6 sentry guns were propped up in the sky and I immediately died lol Obviously a hacker messing around, but that short lived experience is still burned in to my memory. Shortly after, I got a laptop, downloaded Steam and TF2, now all these years later I have almost 8k hours Much love for tf2, forever ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Saint's Row 3 and Crackdown 2 was my favorite co-op game to play as a kid. Real shame that titles after were pretty lame.
this game is time capsule of an old original build of tf2. pc had so many patches + new weapons + hats. theyve actually downgraded the graphics / visuals just to lower the speed + performance since it went f2p
I still play TF2 Orange box like several hours like once or twice a year. Great times. ❤
This makes me miss my Xbox 360 which was sadly sold. I was such a spoiled kid, I got to play on a massive TV (Bigger than 65 inches maybe? It took up the whole corner of the room and was bigger than a person.) With amazing surround sound, But it didn't matter to me, I was too young and as a child I didn't know most of what my console could do, To me the Xbox 360 was as basic as a N64, You put in a game and play it, nothing more nothing less. I didn't know about internet or settings or anything and I didn't care ether. I had fun that was all that mattered. My console was also never connected to the internet during it's entire life. I had Minecraft which was never updated because of it, the OG Xbox Minecraft, Dishonored, Crysis 2 and 3, The Orange Box, Portal 2, And probably 50 more games for the thing that I didn't play. The 360 is and always will be my favorite Xbox console epically since it doesn't require a net connection. I made so many good memories with the console and I had more fun with it than anything else. I want a 360 now and have been wanting one for so long, I'll never stop wanting one and I'll never stop using it if I get one. I can play Xbox games on PC with emulators and I have a wired Xbox 360 controller (I grew up with wireless ones we had 2 and a charger dock) but it's not even close to the same. There is just something so magical about using the 360 that modern consoles can't replicate no matter how hard they try.
They could of atleast updated tf2 Xbox
I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the title.
2:17 proof heavy is schizophrenic
6:40 this series of statements resonates with me heavily: one of the only games i had for my PS1 growing up was the jampack winter 2000 demo disc, which had about 10-12 games with 30 minute demos for each of them. this console was located at my grandma's house, where there was little else to do but play outside in the summer and come inside to cycle through all the games on the demo disc. contrary to what my elders thought at the time, playing those demos was such a great way to exercise one's imagination, so as to figure out what those games were actually like to play. that thought/gameplay loop was integral to my current and past relationship with video games, thank you for taking me back down memory lane like that lol.
Tbf after watching the video and liked and subbed, because I was astaunished❤
