I felt like that pause was because George either lost the page of the script or when Britt and David tried to match the narration with the music, and the audio for George's narration froze. 😅LOL 😅😅😅😅

I’ve always had a head canon that Lady was used for an experiment by scientists and they did something that made the gold dust appear. When they tried it on Lady, she had the ability to transport herself to another place, just like magic. That’s how Mr Conductor and Junior got their gold dust and where able to transport themselves to Sodor. But the Magic Railroad was created by Lady and Burnett as an alternative option in emergencies. The magic buffers were hidden from view to keep it a secret. The Magic Railroad connected Shining Time in the US to Sodor in the UK. A railway that no one knew about until Thomas sent that coal truck through the magic buffers.

I have a few interpretations of magic railroad. Interpretation 1. The shining time universe is the us dub of Thomas. Don’t jump to conclusions let me finish. In “thomas and percy’s Christmas adventure” for some reason they changed it to “thomas and percy’s mountain adventure” about thanksgiving. How can these 2 co exist with each other? It’s also only the US narrator/mr conductor telling us about these stories. This universe goes by Tatar logic where “it’s at one end of my special universe.” Interpretation 2. The sentence “it’s at one end of my special universe” is a metaphor where one end of HIS “universe” is the island of sodor the other shining time station. Making sodor to exist in our world and the magic railroad itself is the fastest way to get to the “magical” island. I’ll be honest this still doesn’t explain how and why magic exist but it’s what I like to believe in my canon.

"In 2 weeks with a special video." Well, that aged well. Seeing as its been 4 months & 1/2. :-P Any idea when You & Katie watching TATMR comes out? I personally look forward to that, as that's gotta be at least an hour's long video filled with golden bits from you and Katie. Something I also appreciated this season is that the videos were a bit longer by being closer to 6 minutes. There was more discussion too. However, it would seem Katie's given up on figuring out what the moral is of each story, haha. Oh, one last thing, take a shot every time Katie screams, *"HOW BIG IS THIS ISLAND?!"*. Always cracks me up, especially how at the end of S4 I gave her a map on the Blooper Reel video. But I suspect this was likely filmed in advance. Anyhoo, I look forward to seeing more! Katie's reactions and ramblings are fantastic in this one. 'Though I do miss her 'moral' bits at the end of the stories, those were always fun. Funnily enough Stepney in quite a bit of merchandising was said to be Narrow Gauge, despite being Standard Guage. So Katie isn't the only one who thought that; haha.

A good, classic episode. James gets too arrogant, and when screwed over, is saved by Thomas. Some good comedic bits too. It also demonstrates how Thomas has matured as a character instead of laughing at James, actually helps him out, and decides not to be petty. Unfortunately, all that growth during S1-S5 is slowly thrown out during S6-S8 and by S9 its just looooong gone. It sorta comes back during the later CGI seasons, but never truly like shown here.

We do actually see one of the tenders when Thomas discovers Great Waterton, its certainly a T&F mystery that's for sure! They're also rarely seen in the background as set dressing afterward.
