Gator Pump

When you need to move large volumes of water or heavy solids and you want a pump that’s built to last, you need a GATOR trailer mounted pump or vertical centrifugal pump! GATOR high volume pumps are used for flood irrigation, flood control, liquid waste pumping, pond transfer in wildlife management, fish hatcheries, oil well reserve pits, and a variety of other application.
GATOR Pumps are custom designed and fabricated in solid steel and can be powered by tractor, diesel, or hydraulic power sources. Pumps are available in several configurations, including trailer, vertical, and floating versions.
GATOR pumps are unique in that they are virtually maintenance-free due to a design without seals, check valves or priming devices. Many GATOR Pumps sold the first year the company began manufacturing are still in operation - since 1977!

It's a feel good temporary measure...nothing more...I've seen this happen before over and over. It usually ends with the local kazek taking the mechinery and re selling it for pennies on the dollar. I'm not sitting in the US criticizing. I'm in Haiti myself attempting to empower Haitians to rear local chickens.
It's the adminstration that's the issue. When it's working, it belongs ga to everyone. When it breaks down, it's the blanc problem to fix. That's what happens when you have a public good where no one is responsible for the expenses and everyone benefits regardless of inputs. Don't take my word for it though....anyone affiliated with the project is free to give an update.

President of Haiti Jovenel Moïse has made farming and irrigation key parts of his administration and he has visited these farmers to see the difference that our Gator Pump is making.
