Relax as I take down the tree after Christmas. This was recorded in January 2013 but the footage disappeared off my PC. It has randomly reappeared so here it is! There's no talking in this one, just crinkly and jingly sounds (and one hungry Fidji the cat in the middle, apologies for that!)

Relax as I gently clean the delapidated artificial office plant, to get rid of the dust and dirt and make it all nice and sparkly clean (as best as I can!), whispering and softly speaking as I go. We brought home a Christmas poinsettia on Sunday and my almost-3 year-old son was obsessed with it, and set it down on the rug and then he ran to get his baby wipes and proceeded to clean the leaves! It was so funny. Then, this morning, he had it on the dining room table with him as he ate his oatmeal and I heard him whisper, "This is a plant we have in our office...." I about died.

This is the best ASMR relaxation video for me personally, bar none. I can't speak for anyone else who has experienced ASMR, but up until recently I didn't even know it was a THING that others had experienced, I just knew that from time to time I would experience the wonderful brain tingles and I also got to know what my triggers were, so all I can say is that for me the ASMR experience is not just auditory but visual: it happened whenever I WATCHED people doing something, similar to what is going on in this video. I would be at work helping a semi-literate patient with her forms and as she rummaged through her purse for pertinent paperwork, I would get the tingles. Also, it would happen when I watched the custodian clean our blinds: the spraying of the blinds with Windex, the sound of the rag he used to wipe them, etc. What I can't stand about the other videos is they are so FAKE. I can't stand the role-plays but I also don't like activities that are obviously a put-on for the sake of the "ASMR" format. You, on the other hand, had it in mind to clean this plant regardless of the ASMR RUclips community but just were wise/kind enough to tape it for us! So, from me, a deep thank-you. (:
Thank you so much! I am the same - I always knew I had ASMR from being tiny but I couldn't work out whether I was the only one or everyone had it but didn't feel the need to talk about it! For me (until I recently discovered what ASMR was) I only knew that witnessing kindness or cleaning might trigger it and triggers didn't happen very often. Having discovered the ASMR community, my triggers seem to change. I've "worn out" some videos - they don't work anymore although I'm interested to know if they come back after a while? Some things for me are like nails on a blackboard - the sounds of eating for instance. Others like tapping, was like nails on a blackboard but now I can tolerate it and find myself tapping the desk without thinking although I don't find it relaxing - maybe that will change? Whispers was another - doesn't give me tingles but I find it relaxing now and often I can't sleep without drifting off to my favourite whisperers. Like you I prefer "real-life" triggers and that's what I plan to concentrate on in my videos x
