I think there’s been an influx, certainly and a lot of folks don’t love it. But I tell ya what, lots of folks I talk to that are moving here aren’t liberals, so it’s hard to attribute changes to one particular group? Just my 2 cents. :)

Hi there! Bozeman doesn’t have any large lakes nearby, but Helena does, which is about an hour and a half north, OR there’s Ennis Lake to the east about an hour. :)

May I ask where you’re seeing the crime rate as high? I’m curious mostly because crime in the area is generally low and yes I do consider Livingston a safe place to live. :)

Yeah it’s tough for sure. With the right interest rate or down payment or even a cash buyer, it’s possible to cash flow, but it’s challenging nonetheless

@@lifeinbozemanmt Nope, been here for 48 years now and love the snow because I build my vehicles to handle it, but I have been hit head on in 90' and had to rebuild my truck.

Honestly it’s been that way for a while… many Montanans say they don’t like Bozeman - until they come for school, or a concert, or other fun! ;) People have been moving here for a loooong time really.

That’s an interesting take… I aim to educate, and help people. If they decide they are moving here, that is their choice!

There is a lot of change in the area and discussion around the street camping situation. Many folks are displaced by the increased rents, etc. I’m not sure I’d recommend coming here just for that kind of living, but it’s your life!

@@lifeinbozemanmt I'm actually in the process of selling a house that's paid off for 900k where my taxes are 17k a year. After watching van life videos on RUclips life is better living in a camper or a van at least for a few years to see how it goes.

I would say it somewhat depends where you are. The college cities are very welcoming and more diverse than the small towns indeed. Bozeman is one of the areas I’d like to think you’d feel comfortable. Thank you for watching!

My brother, if you look for negativity, you'll find it anywhere and everywhere. You want to see racism, hang out with a bunch of liberals. If you believe those things, you'll never be able to travel outside of your "safe zone." With that being said, like yourself, I have a permanent tan, my family is my top priority, and I stand proud. Explore "Free America!" Most places are welcoming, as long as you assimilate to the culture, and don't bring the garbage with you that you're running away from.

I appreciate you watching! Where in Bozeman did you stay? There is a larger unhoused population now than there used to be, certainly, but many of them are displaced locals, sadly. NW Wyoming is beautiful too!

@@CactusCowboy57 I've heard Sheridan Wyo is super nice. Spacious and has all the services you need and the crime is very minimal. I haven't been there yet although I ve been through Lander, Riverton. I like Lander.

Hmmm… I can’t say I 100% agree - not everything gets worse. The dining options in Bozeman have gotten better and better! But yes, many other aspects of life here have gotten more challenging with more people.

Belgrade has been a bedroom community to Bozeman for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been here a long time! It has spread, though, for sure. The property taxes are one of the more challenging aspects for many, too.

Ha! Love it. Winter starts around Christmas time and gets cold up here in the north! Frozen rain comes down - called “snow” and accumulates on the ground. ;) Let me know if you have any other questions!

People have been moving here from Cali for years… I’ve been here more than 40 years myself (born and raised) so I get it! But the Bozeangeles name has been around a while, nothing new as far as I’m concerned! I love Bozeman still!

If you’re unable to see the road or it’s too bad, you can find a place to turn off the road typically. Visibility can be tough and sometimes it just take a bit to wait it out. The good thing is we typically know when those storms are coming and the best thing is to prevent even going out in those conditions.
