For everyone considering this branch, I'm studying this in NIT AGARTALA, and let me tell you, Its difficult.. really I mean it. Scoring CGPA will be really hard and I mean it. The batch of 2019, graduating in 2023 will see the highest cgpa as 8.2. and that too only scored by 2 students out of 14. The average CGPA hovers around 7.5. It's damn difficult to the point you'll get frustrated because this branch will eat up so much of your time, that you will find it really difficult to learn something else. I've been fortunate to get some time during this pandemic to work on my other skills like coding,CAT PREP, GRE, but be assured, offline mode won't spare you much time for other things. And secondly, this is especially for NIT AGARTALA. We have also done examination in online mode, but still the CGPA is not decent enough. The point being it doesn't matter if it's online or offline. This branch will drive you nuts. The 2018 batch of EP literally had no placement. Not because, no company allowed them, but because they could not develop any skillset due to lack of time. You'll be bombarded with advanced physics concepts, asked long long derivations in exams. You'll be taught 20-30 derivation out of which only 2-3 will be asked in exam. So, most of your time will be spent reading and memorizing all these, YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. Choose your branch wisely, maybe take a year off for FURTHUR introspection. Its a decision of your whole freaking career. Don't just take it easily and go for any nalla branch. Most dreadful subs I faced, Quantum mechanics I, II Statistical mechanics Semiconductor Physics Probability and mathematical physics

Aur bhaiya agar main Engineering Physics leta hoon aur baad mein mera interest software side mein aa jata hai to kya software companies mein jaa sakta hoon? and bhaiya last doubt : agar software mein jaana ho, to ECE AND EP MEIN SE KYA BETTER HAI?
