KORNFELD Galerie Berlin
Германия
Добавлен 18 июл 2012
KORNFELD Galerie Berlin was founded in 2012 by Alfred Kornfeld - together with his partner Anne Langmann and the Georgian archaeologist Mamuka Bliadze - and is located at two premises in western Berlin, at its main site at Fasanenstraße 26 (Galerie Kornfeld) and at the project space 68projects.
We showcase these artists in exhibitions, residency programs, and at national and international art fairs - from Arco Madrid, Frieze (New York and London), KIAF Seoul, and Art021 Shanghai to Art Cologne, Art Karlsruhe, and Positions Berlin.
Our entire team values artists whose work is about questioning and learning - not only in terms of politics but mainly on a social and individual level. Through their different origins, cultures, and life stories, the gallery’s artists introduce socially relevant discourses, enriching them with their personal perspectives. For us, it is crucial that our artists can live from their art and thereby retain an independent and open view of the world.

Tamara Kvesitadze: Revolving Woman - KORNFELD Galerie Berlin
Tamara Kvesitadze
Revolving Woman, 2003
Fiber glass, metal, mechanism
148.5 x 22 x 15cm
Tamara Kvesitadze achieved international appeal through her work with kinetic sculpture, making movement the essence of her creativity. Her artistic practice focuses on the tension between the human and its world, with the body always being at the centre of her exploration. Her way of understanding the body is ambiguous and always in flux. Her sculptures are dynamic and often with a deliberately unfinished quality to them. Bordering on the grotesque, they reference classical sculptures and allude to playful games between the subconscious and conscious worlds.

Amezing...👍
Great work
WOW!
Where does he buy his paint from? Stunning work
he puts themin his van and they flop about hes not one of those artist worried about fame and selling its not about immortality .
amazing :)
Welch ein Meisterwerk, unglaubliche Malweise, muss ja zig-Kilos gewogen haben bei der gigantischen Farbmenge. Wie lange hat der Trockenprozess gedauert?
Geil 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😄

I’ve heard this sappy music so many times in so many videos …sick of it
Nice to see you again. I first saw your art about 10 years ago, purchased your book. You are still painting amazing art. I am always wonder how you deal with those long drying times that thick paint requires. Cheers from Canada.
george rowlett has a german cousin
Very nice. When i see you painting like this: with hands and thick paint, IN London it reminds me instantly George Rowlett. Same technique (pardon me for saying this, obviously there are differences but you know what i mean), similar places. Very beautiful works :)
In the history of art, it acceptable that the Impressionist first employed plein-air like you do, however you are not just using a brush. You lavishly painted it with colors; its expensive, different and beautiful. I like it because for me is new.
I would love to know what does he do to get these paintings to dry? Because he puts them in a van and so the painting can get smudged. Or does it get smudged and he doesn't care because he got all he need to work on it to fix that? Still, the painting is very thick, so wondering how long it dries, what he does to speed it up. Must be something he pours in the paint buckets for sure.
This is unbelievable. Beautiful paintings
❤
Beautiful 👌
So inspirational, he is free in his thoughts, he has self confidence, no hang ups, no anxiety about achieving desired outcomes with his paintings, so admirable. And the energy, to paint like that on huge canvases for hours day after day, I could only dream of that productivity.
❤❤❤Artist Francis Antony Kodankandath from Kerala, India ❤
Zis aart vil sell vel.
super talented
Impressive, must take tons of oil paint.. it is like installations.
Up to 50 kg of oil paint for a large painting, evidently.
The first 16 seconds in I was like "WTF?!" Oh. dude has a mad budget for paint. His paintings are way beyond impasto. They must take forever to "skin over". How do they transport them without smushing the wet paint???
Everything I was going to ask! How much money spent on paint, so expensive just for large tubes, but TUBS needs deep pockets! And how long before the paintings are dry enough to safely pack for shipping? Amazing paintings one needs to stand back from and see at a distance to truly appreciate them.
@@claireseyeviewonredbubble Hmm, maybe its not so different taking in cosideration that you can use one bucket (of paint) on multiple paintings and this paint can be a more "hardware" quality. Goes into quantity over quality, probably its not so different from the tubes, oil is oil, specially if you paint with hand and brush strokes are not important. So maybe he goes even better budget wise then using standards art oil tubes.
@@Michal_Kuras Well yes, I didn't think of it that way!
The canvas looks very cute and busy floating through London. Does anyone get that? You are brill boy!
Thrilling and inspiring. Thank you.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely fantastic 👌
must have b eeen how Jack Yates painted.Thick impasto. What was the battery drill for?

Love it love it 😍 🖼️
AT TIME ,REALY ART
I like that painting! Very nice
Through the painstakingly layers of pigment and abstraction, this art-object of desire has appealed to our subconscious biological being and evidently raised a couple of great points! 😉👍👍
Nice broken perspective.
I really like the colours and the roughness in the painting. You really got something here. Like the style. Keep at it❤
This is really ,really art.
Great piece. Love the depth and shadows it creates
Beautiful artwork. Love the colour and composition
Amazing!❤
Wow amazing!
