Halloween Event 2024 #4 [P4:100-101] - Edgefield, Willow, Grafton - Phasmo Crimson VR #4 - PSVR2
More Halloween Event, just doing my part towards the community effort.
- The Edgefield ghost was a Demon. Couldn't find the bone.
- The Willow ghost was a Yokai. Couldn't find the bone.
- I thought the Grafton ghost was an Onryo, but then it sped at me like a Revenant and nailed me. So, it was a Mimic. I got that guess right, and still scored Blood Moon points for it. Yay!
Update 11/3/2024 - Good evening. I've stopped my playing of Phasmophobia for a bit, while I evaluate what is happening at Kinetic Games. I discovered from a recent video from Madixx that the QA testers were treated badly, even getting fired/banned without discussion and being treated very badly for their feedback. The lead ...

More Halloween Event 2024, just trying to contribute to the totals. - The Edgefield ghost was a Revenant. - The Grafton ghost was The Twins. Wouldn't give me Parabolic. - The Willow ghost was a Hantu. In 54 minutes, the community percentage for Stage 1 went from 70.73% to 72.11% ( .1.4%). We might barely make it - it might require some extra grinding towards the end, which I expect. Played in a...

Just fire earth shakers into his ass. He will go Down. Only weak spot.
Thanks for the comparison!
great job! starting my challenge shortly
how did you start 1 in VR mode? 2.0 has an easy SteamVR launch option but the first one doesn't even say it has a VR mode in the Library
It's been so long I had to try it again to find out. Currently I'm running a Quest 3, so I activate Quest Link first (I played wired). Then I start Dirt Rally from Steam, and without selecting any options at all, the menu screen is floating in a VR decoration until the race actually starts. Then it fades out and back in to put me in the driver's seat in VR. If it isn't working that way for you, I'm not sure what's wrong.
The government in this games is too weak and lazy compared to 2, but they have far cooler details and design.
The playlist is quite a bit shuffled btw
Hmm, interesting. I certainly didn't add the videos in that order. Maybe some RUclips update goofed it up.
@@craigyack3932 maybe, thought it strange last week but figured it would sort itself out eventually but now figured I'd let you know. Great content though makes for excellent listen/watch material!
@@RubenDijkstra Thank you!
Don't know if you already do, but you can also right click in the OBS window (the preview window) and turn off the preview that way, sometimes called Performance Mode (in Streamlabs OBS IIRC).
Heya Craig, Deja Vu was missing from the playlist. Also curious are you going to be looking into Phasmophobia Eventide update? Seems some VR changes (as well as allround igniter/slots change) were included as well which might prove useful?
Thanks for letting me know about Deja Vu missing from the playlist - I just added it. I will certainly be looking at Eventide. Things have been a little busy at work and my energy has been low. I am eager to try out the changes and see if things are better for VR. Thanks for watching!
The game is still incredible in 2024. What it lacked in a decent story and good console performance, it made up with hours of chaos and creative freedom.
After at least 25 years, I still remember my first time going into that boss room as a kid, instantly Earthshaker Missile to the face and dying, and wondering "ok, how the hell am I going to do this?". Even if I snuck up behind him, I would fire and get a barrage of green balls and shaker missiles fired back at me. I was mad because I had managed to collect a grand total of 2 Earth Shaker Missiles up to that point, and yet this asshole had an infinite supply lol and could just one shot me even if he didn't score a clean hit. This was in the "insane" difficulty, which is pretty damn hard, and I simply couldn't find a way through this guy. I would die in front of the red door simply by opening it to try to launch a Guided Missle in to scout lol. It took me like 100 attempts. One of the most difficult bosses I ever encountered in any game.
Normally, the guidebot tends to get in the way. However, I think in this battle, he actually tells you about the final boss's vulnerability. I found that to be an interesting surprise. In spite of everything, I always found that final battle to be pretty well earned. The one in Descent 3 seems less so. D3 gives you unlimited lives and it often seems like it expects you to take multiple tries to tackle certain foes. On the other hand, I eventually found out on subsequent playthroughs that the D3 boss has very limited vulnerability as well. When I realized that, it was much easier to kill him.
I cheated on this mission (Ultra Hard) by doing the sniping shot from the small ridge west of the valley. The one narrow channel from the campfire. It was the easiest mission I've ever accomplished of this game.
Do melee kills in the air. Also keep your multiplier from dropping . Youll get 2 million plus after first algos boss. In phase 1
I never really cared much for the multiplier. I just tried for distance - best I ever made it to was Phase 8 - after that, I was spent and done.
first person to post it W mans
this game is very well optimized, I am able to run it as far up as 150fps on my acer nitro 5
Hello very cool play good luck
Very good player you
Hardest area of the game imo
On a replay, this section is where I died twice. Otherwise, I was able to make it through without any other deaths.
descent 2 was always my favorite of the series because there are no drillers XD
No kidding. I hated the rooms where the walls suddenly open and there are drillers firing at you.
Entertaining! Keep it up!
Is it just me, or is Rico's jacket modded?
If you're referring to the powered wingsuit, that's an upgrade from the Sky Fortress DLC.
@@craigyack3932 No not that, I think due to the in game rain and darkness he's jacket just appeared more black and glossier from the back.....
@@CxS909Ah, understood!

Where are you get this game?
NOT WORTH IT.. NEW CHALLENGE SUX
Oh, it's fun. If you can determine ghosts by their hunt behaviors, it isn't impossible. Plus we get night vision goggles and a T3 paramic to help track the ghost. I understand the difficulty, though, if someone doesn't know the hunt speeds and behaviors for the ghosts. Especially if you get the harder ghosts (Yurei, Mare, Shade, etc.)
Nice video! Why does it looks like the camera is jumping around everywhere when moving?
I have the turn controls set to snap turn, which is how I look around while moving. Sorry if it's disorienting.
Hi Craig! Just wanted to say my husband and I love your videos and we put you on the TV almost every night! I often call you the “Bob Ross of gamers” because your voice is so relaxing. Keep up the great content and thank you!
Thank you, I appreciate it! I notice sometimes the bugs get on my nerves, but I try to keep it even :) I wish the mic on my HP Reverb G2 wasn't so muffled.
Or actually, it just *sounded* as if the tosses were at the same time, correction to my last comment that might be stuck in review maybe because of a link. I think you were just unlucky and seen through the crack indeed and it opened the hiding spot fully maybe
47:42 I think there is a small bug sometimes, that the rate of interaction is sometimes bugged (heard that rapid clicking, maybe the ghost opened the door faster than you saw displayed and you were already seen before you could even begin to close the door)
I saw your second comment on video 2/2. It's alright, these things happen sometimes, although that's the first time I was outright killed in a closet. Another time long ago I was killed through the wall by a Deogen coming up the stairs, and I wasn't even in the closet.
@@craigyack3932 yeah the second comment was actually the third, because I thought the bug happened again so timestamped it But in this case I think the bug was actually there, opening the door faster than you could see because of animations that have to play out (think the exit doors slamming happening instantly, state 90° to 0° with the hitbox reflecting this but visibly only slamming over the course of a second) So the closet door you were hiding behind was in X random states of open between 0° and 90° with no time to react which is dangerous
Also yes Deogens (funny because "de ogen" is already plural; "the eyes") are tricky in that they only need the intersecting hitboxes (or touching who can say) in order to kill you, the establishing LoS (so you can contest your hiding spot) is skipped since it already has LoS/knows where you are :/
Hp reverb have goob tracking or should I choose something else?
If you're looking for good hand tracking for a game like Beat Saber, I would NOT go with the HP Reverb G2. But it's fine for games like Phasmophobia or Half Life Alyx. The head tracking is fine.
true
Do you possibly know if it was 0 evidence at all? Or all 3, or 2 and so on?
As I experiment, I figure it out. Whatever I discover, I put in the description under the video. This one is 3 evidence. I remember it being 3 evidence when it was first put out 26 weeks ago.
@@craigyack3932 ohhh ok, I forgot it was just a repeat, thanks for all the helpful info and the videos by the way, very much appreciated
I could never do phas vr alone, even doing vr with a friend was scary lol
I do enjoy it. Frankly I'm not sure I'd have the coordination to play in flatscreen, although I'm sure it would make fast looping a LOT easier. In VR I wouldn't be able to keep up with the turning necessary to loop a ghost.
@@craigyack3932Looping on pc is so much easier but when the ghost started hunting I dropped my matches and I exploded lol
Brings back memories 😊 ps.: it always looks "easy", until the Boss also fires Swaker missles at you ^^ 2:31
For the range on the sound sensors, you can toggle them between short and longer range (useful for bigger maps or farmhouses, and small crammed roadhouses)
I just learned that this evening. Thank you! I'll be sure to try it next time.

Wow that looks like if was too easy... is difficult as fuck.
Without knowing where the invulnerability and stealth powerups are, yes, it would have been much harder. Granted, when I first played this so many years ago, it was very hard initially. But as I recall, I used my save point to fly around and explore as much as I could while getting shot at, so that I would know where everything is and plan out my approach.
@@craigyack3932 youre totally right. Indeed I managed to f ck that robot up. Once I took over the 1st invisibility power up and some earth shakers, and the 2nd one by entering a secret room the 1st time I missed, and then grabing the 2nd invisibility powerup from there. Well at that point I only had 1 earthshaker!! And guess what? With the invisibility on, that do the trick. I shoot that "magic pickle"at that ugly MF and Boom! It worked. But being the 1st time with that battle was difficult as hell.
@@halonsox Glad you got through it. Honestly, thinking back, I probably took the hard way through and just kept trying to get behind him and repeated over and over until I beat him. I probably didn't figure out all the secret areas until my second playthrough.
With boss robots I always used up my guided missiles then went at it with mega missiles or in this case earth shakers. When you see the this boss, pick a spot on the wall in back or on top of him if you’re using earth shakers. The guided projectiles will hit the vulnerable spot.
Yep, those G-4s are quite a handful in this mission. Nice strafing clips.
Omg I miss this game. That boss was a real D**k
What in the hell?!
If you jump, and tilt the camera up or down you can do cool force pulse moves
I believe you bro keep it up hope you get millions sub
