I'm mostly a strat -tele player,but I wanted a humbucker-les paul type guitar without paying a lot of money. I got a similar one off eBay with a quilted top,gold hardware. I figured it would have some of the typical Chibson issues I've heard about. It did. but after taking care of all the issues,new pickups,{the originals horrible], all electronics. It plays,sounds and looks great now..I'm all in now a little over $500. Well worth it to me I'd say. The only con about it is that it has a wide fat neck,but I can still play it ok.

I would venture to say these chibsons are as good as any epiphone LP, not as good as a Gibson LP but for the price I can live with it,I have a chibson cherry burst standard LP, and it blew all of my other budget LPs away, like you it's a beater guitar, and I'm proud to announce it's a fake, the best reason to buy one, is so I can leave my good guitars home when jammin,spot on thanks for the review.
