Give them back their names
In Dronten, Holland between 15 to 20 aircraft (perhaps even more) crashed with their crews during World War II. The planes were on their way or coming back from a mission against the Nazi regime. Some of the crew members survived, but there are also dozens of airmen who had to pay for our freedom with their lives.
The names of most airmen are known. Even with their photo.
Now there is a monument in Dronten which has no names of these airmen.

Mooi gemaakte video👌 Ik kan me nog heel goed herinneren dat ik als negenjarig jongetje naar het NCRV programma "De tijd stond even stil" zat te kijken en daar de berging van de B24 zag. Deze uitzending en de serie "De wereld in oorlog" van Joop Reinboud heeft bij mij de fascinatie voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog aangewakkerd. Nu, 50 jaar later ben ik nog steeds dagelijks actief met WO-II onderzoek 😊.

@@Birdspublishing Wellicht is het een idee om de drie Traditiekamers van de Koninklijke Luchtmacht erbij te betrekken, want die namen van de aircrew members horen toch ècht op het monument te staan! Met de KL als backing zou de gemeente en provincie uw plan eerder in overweging kunnen nemen.
@@fpvdgoor_jackofalltrades Voor zover ik weet staat de KL al op 4 mei voor het monument. Maar helaas valt het kwartje niet.
