It’s really not hard in terms of languages. I had much much more trouble learning Korean. Chinese was a breeze compared to it.

I’m American and can explain the orange chicken and general tso’s. Both were actually invented by Chinese men, and take inspiration from food in the Hunan province of China. Hence why they both look and taste similar. But general tso’s, to me, tastes stronger. More aromatic and savory/sweet. Orange chicken is more sweet/tangy. Both are pretty good but are definitely greasy and very fried. I wouldn’t reach for them if better food was available. But they’re popular because of how they are inoffensive in flavor and are enjoyable.

Oh anyone heard of the app "TalkMe" anyone used it? ive got it downloaded.... im messing about with it.... its AI and it seems impressive...... there are lessons, again i havent actually put any time into it apart from being impressed with the AI? the endless AI is locked behind a paywall though..... you can have a 24hr chinese teacher essentially.... Ive just sent a cv over to someone in China for an English teaching position..... im Chinese myself, Cantonese is the language i grumble in.... so im rusty in mandarin, i mean i took classes when younger etc is she based in America? or is she in China
