very gud video and has helped me got faster at clock. There’s one problem tho, at least for my clock, that is one of the edge magnets is the same as the center magnets, which makes it uneven

i know im late to this, but as the person who came second in australian nationals for clock, i would like to contribute my personal experiences, as i hope that it will help some people in the future who may be in a similiar situation as me. i was very nervous going into finals, because i never had a chance to podium in any event at a championship before, and there were plenty of people who were averaging faster than my global at the time. my strategy was to take some deep breaths right before my solves, this cleared my mind of a lot of stress and reduced the shakiness of my fingers, which really matters in clock, especially in comp. i ended up with a 5.18 pr average, which is very close to my pb at home (5.14), which i was and still am very proud of. to anyone who is in a situation like me in the future, just try to relax your mind and do your best, remember that you won't always succeed on your first time, and that there will be another time where you may succeed. thank you professor mo for your gracious insight, i apologise for not submitting my homework; i was busy inhaling oxygen

Hey thanks for this tutorial I used weight 2 silicone and weight 4 and added tape. I just got a clock yesterday and before I did this I averaged about 50 but now I’m getting 32 seconds like it’s nothing! Thanks ❤

Hey thanks so much, i followed this and instantly crushed my pb ao5 and 12. Here i thought hardware was good enough that we didnt have to resort to things like tape anymore, but i guess the more things the more they stay the same haha

I always been struggling with nerves even out side of cubing comps. Recently Mexican Championship was held and I expected such good results for clock, I am already sub 5 and also was the firs time I traveled alone Then came the first day of comp... Clock was the 2nd event of the day the weather was freaking cold. I got 3 low 4s, Dnf, and a 10 No problem I said, I have 2 more rounds. The second round was the same thing, got a 5.0, Dnf, 4.8 , 4.4, and 8.8 At this point I was so tierd and sad, even those feeling affected my others results And the last day of the comp arrived... Eveyone was watching us and My hands were shakier than ever, I stared the avg with a DNF then a counting 14. I ended up averaging 9 and just after that final I coulnd handle the feelings anymore and I started to cry. Then a good guy approached to me and huge me, other friends also did the same thing Crying in a comp was the best therapeutic treatment I could have i really appreciate the words that my friend told me. wish i used a mindset like this cause it makes failing worse (I came 4th at nats by 0.003) and it still annoys me cause I flipped at the end (i use 7 simul) but if I had a better mindset it wouldn't have bothered me so much. I also agree with the being in a low seed helps relieve nerves cause I was 19th seed as I was safetying to finals which took pressure off me and nobody expected anything from me because people didn't know I averaged low 5 before the comp. I will most likely be using this at my next comp with clock

My strategy is to be an all rounder that mains 1 event and concentrate all the nerves on that one event so I can do decent in everything else while accepting the fact that I’ll get bad results in my main event

It’s crazy how contrasting our attitudes are for the official rounds we are both in, proves how much better yours is and why you are able to consistently outperform me in big finals thanks for sharing and i hope i can apply at least a couple things from this
