KIWI AS TV
Новая Зеландия
Добавлен 15 авг 2022
Taking a look back at New Zealand television over the last few decades.
Including news reports with interviews from local and international celebrities.
Plus sporting events, comedy acts and those classic New Zealand adverts that capture the Kiwi culture.
Extracted from the classic VHS, so the quality for some videos won't be the best but, definitely worth a watch!
Will try and bring new content every now and then.

Unfortunately there is a bit of static during half of the ads, it's not too bad, but enough to be a tad annoying.

They need to do a reboot!
They do have a new version of it on Sky Sport hosted by Laura McGoldrick and some of the guys from alternative commentary collective.
@ maybe reboot isn’t the right term? Original cast back together? Kinda like sports cafe podcast
@@dreddator yes I'm loving that sports cafe podcast / youtube channel with the originals.

are you able to get after school ads from the 90s or saturday morning ads? ads that were directed towards children?
Sorry, I do't think I have any after school ads from the 90's, I would love to come across some tapes with that content though. Best I have is this video here from 2000 with some after school ads... ruclips.net/video/F6wja-iQ-UQ/видео.html

19:05 Louise Pagonis presented the weather in One Network News on the evening of Saturday 13 January 1990 and was briefly shown in the background, i.e. the "One Weather Centre" section of the One Network News set. I have a strange and difficult question to ask. Sitting next to her in that section, I wonder who the person was - a graphic artist or offscreen meteorologist?
This stuff REALLY WORKED. She should be filthy rich from this. But big cosmetic companies somehow get their hands of this formula, renamed it, and never looked back.
Would you like to upload the One News Bulletin from 2000
I have a question, Can you do an hrv Commercial where Harvey explains about water? It's is soo cool, ❤ please? I love that guy!❤
I'll keep an eye out for that one.
The brilliant record of a truly remarkable man.
Awesome ref First maul Maggots coming in from the wrong side let alone from the side, they dive over Guess who he gives penalty too😂😂😂😂 Honestly the only way the maggotfricans can win is cheat or pay the ref and if it’s a cup final both😂😂😂😂😂 The maggots are a joke
This is the best game show of this century in NZ
This is such a great “don’t over-romanticize it” doc, starting right out with the gritty description of all of the physical unpleasantness. As exciting and dramatic as ocean racing looks, there’s a reason only a few do it.
Well deserved!
Our Greatest Winger ever Thank you Jonah ❤

Pulp Comedy was an AO (Adults Only) programme and contained offensive language and adult humour. Through an oversight, this programme was accidentally classified as G (General), although it was first shown on TV3 (now Three) in 1997 and repeated on TV4 in 1998 or 1999. Nowadays, nearly all stand-up comedy shows and specials on television are classified 16-LC (people under 16 years should not view; language and content may offend).
thanks for uploading, interesting to see what would turn out to be the beginning of the end for the David & Ellen years
So we say goodbye to Caroline...IMO an extremely weak ending for what had turned out to be one of Shortland Street's best written characters...unfortunately the show would definitely take a downward turn for another year or so with some extremely bland characters and boring storylines prior to its renaissance in 2001
That One News Bulletin was on TV ONE In NZ On The 1st January 2000.
That was brilliant to watch. Yeah thanks for the upload. A true inspiration of a man.
Although I was 13 year old,I remember the game as yesterday.❤❤❤❤.I miss the games at "die boet"😢😢😢😢
I worked in an outdoor shop and we had red socks which we renamed to Lucky red socks 😁
Would you uploading the 1999 New Zealand advert combo part 7 please
Awesome doco. Thx for uploading!
At 8.30pm on the evening of Sunday 14 April 1996, TV3 (now Three) presented the 'world television premiere' of the critically acclaimed 1994 film, Once Were Warriors. Once Were Warriors narrates the struggles of an urban Māori family, the Heke family, grappling with issues such as poverty, alcoholism and domestic violence, largely instigated by the father, Jake, who is also referred to as "Jake the Muss". The film delves into the adverse impacts of colonisation on Māori in New Zealand and highlights the resilience of Māori culture in the face of adversity. Directed by Lee Tamahori and based on Alan Duff's bestselling 1990 novel, the film features performances by Rena Owen, Temuera Morrison, Mamaengaroa Kerr-Bell (now Mamaengaroa Pere), Julian Arahanga, Taungaroa Emile and Cliff Curtis. It achieved the status of the highest grossing film in New Zealand's history and has received numerous awards. Neil Waka, who was a newsreader for TV3 at the time, introduced the world television premiere that night. TV3 screened the film in its original cinematic format, albeit with commercial breaks, while retaining its graphic scenes of violence and frequent use of coarse language. At the conclusion of the film, contact information was provided for those who might be facing domestic violence, including: - Personal help services page in a phone book - Women's Refuge - Police (dial 111) In the earlier days of free-to-air television in New Zealand, Once Were Warriors was recommended as an AO (Adults Only) programme. It is currently classified as 16-VL; this indicates it is unsuitable for people under 16 years due to graphic violence (V) and strong language (L), a change implemented following the updates to classifications and timebands in May 2020.
