Even though it was unfair that Nicole was made not only the lead but the only singer of the group, I do think her vocals are easier to listen to than melody’s.

Well Melody wasn’t ready back then to sing lead, but she was only 19 when she joined. I still wish she would have had more opportunities in PCD instead of it becoming “the Nicole show” like it did.. I love Nicole’s voice though, but the other girls just felt more like background dancers, not like a girl group to me

imagine Melody singing lead in all their songs... can’t imagine... if she only had a stronger and more controlled voice, she wouldn’t have been replaced.

I'm so glad I got to see Melody as a leading vocalist after all these years of fans belittling Nicole on her supposed overempashis because now we can all agree (even if we don't wanna admit it) that Melody is good, but just not good enough. Also she was out of tune AF on some notes. Like... too much for lead vocals. Nicole is the best out of them and this video is sufficient enough proof.

Wow Maile sounded really good doing half of Ivette’s part. I wish she got more singing parts. I have to say she killed every bridge they had her sing 🙌🏽 in Get Over Yourself and 1000 Words.

So glad Melody is gone, her vocals have ALWAYS been way too all over the place. They gave her a shot, and she just wasn't good. Ya'll can chalk it up to inexperience or not, but talent is talent and you can only get so much better without it.

Melody is very young her give her a break! And she was showing exceptional vocal potential. Yes she's very pitchy at the start but her voice was so powerful and clearly just needed to be trained.

So at the beginning of pcd melody was the lead and Nicole was a background singer.. This was melody baptism of fire... And she blew it... She was pitchy... So they decided to go with Nicole.. Good decision
