My brother printer uses the LC3033 and LC3035 cartridges and they look completely different. Not sure where or if this can work. Anyone have success with these?

Thank you for the video which helped me to disassembled and cleaned my brother printer ink absorber felt. Although mine is DCP-J4110DW actually printer structure are almost the same as yours. The problem is once I have cleaned and dried the felter and put them back to the printer felt box, assenbled the printer. the "ink absorber full" error message remains when the printer is turned. Why is that? do you have any idea to resolve it?

Thank you for your video, which has enabled me to clean out my ink absorber box on my MFC-J4610DW. Extremely useful to be able to do it oneself on a home printer that I've had for years but doesn't print hundreds of pages a year. It may be economical for a business to just get the maintenance guy in, or buy a new printer, but completely different scenario for an ordinary household.

Thank you so much for this video! Worked like a charm! I didn't have any black tape so I just cut out a tiny piece of paper and pasted it on tape and then pasted the whole thing onto the sensors. I happened to be using an orange sticky note so I cut the tiny pieces from that and it worked. I wonder if white paper would work too, or maybe only dark-colored paper would.

This worked DELIGHTFULLY today on my MFC-J480DW. Huzzah!🎉🎉🎉

I'm sure someone could have designed a simpler mechanism. I'd add a tip to try and keep the two parts together as you remove them. If you don't, that's just another puzzle to solve!

After doing everything as instructed, now my machine doesn't print blacka at all. Do you have any idea if it's related? Thanks for the great video anyway

Uh my printer is like 8 years old. What a pain this is to remove everything. And to power up my Brother model you have to stand on your ear just right to get it to come on and stay on. Mine is going in the trash and I will buy another printer. I just wasted $40 on ink because I thought my yellow was the culprit. But.....your videos are excellent.

Put tape over where? It is only happening with any cyan I replace it with.

Excellent video .... get thrhough the whole process for 4420DW but no noise can be heard when typing the reset code @the purge menu ...... ;-( and counter does not reset to 0 :-(

Greetings, nice video, my question is for my MFC-J470DW that has stopped due to absorber full error msg. following other instructions i cn get to the maintenance and also the purge ket but my number showing is 10779, it wont let me clear then error 46, any suggestions Paul,Toronto

My 10yr-old MFC-J4510DW is back in action. *Also recommended*: cleaning the print head with a paper towel soaked in Windex .. or as we say in UK: a folded piece of kitchen roll soaked in window cleaner (my window cleaner says it contains "5% anionic surfactant" and vinegar - worked for me!). Thank you! I nearly went an purchased a new printer. Been using non genuine ink for 15 years and had the odd glitch installing them but this time it was persistent. Lifting the cartridges as I installed them it worked a treat. :) I had already tried turning off printer for 30 minutes and pulling a couple of other colours out but it didn't work. I then tried your idea of taking all of them out. It recognized all the cartridges as they went in but 2 colours would always not be detected after I closed the door. Lifting the cartridges while pushing them home worked in the end. :)

Thanks for the video. I replaced the ink absorber with an entire new one. When I put everything back together I got an error message that the scanner cover is open (when it’s clearly closed). Any advice on a fix? Thanks!

Just tried the same process again and the "PURGE" is set to ZERO. (No copies printed) The maintenance message has appeared again. Any thoughts?
