FFS it's obvious bsy
great job explaining! i really like it! i still don't understand! :/
what
Yes, it depends on which way it is spinning. The merry go round is a 2D version. In other words, it doesn't have hemispheres. On Earth, objects are deflected to the right in the northern hemisphere and to the left in the southern hemisphere because of the rotation of the Earth. If it rotated the opposite direction, the opposite would be true.
This doesn't explain the whole thing, according to them coriolis effect is just a matter of perspective, but the truth is the ball only followed a straight path because it wasn't spinning before, in order to witness coriolis the ball would have to be spinning. What really happens is that the angular momentum is always conserved. When the particles travel north or south the radius or distance to the axis varies and therefore the linear speed must also change given angular momentum=L=r*V. Bitches
That was awesome! Great idea to place camera on the disc. very simple but very clear! You guys should be teachers one day!!
It´s more dificult that it seems.
Hey! That was awesome!
nice i should take this into class it describes it very well- congrats nice example
this is the best video i have seen on the coriolis effect
One of the simplest but best videos about the Coriollis effect. Congratulations guys
