I also got this as info from a site: Panasonic RX-SA78 1987 $80 player AM/FM Stereo Dolby NR; a/r; eq; 1 FM preset Also the given freq range is 50Hz-12KHz. Most Sony's are listed as 40Hz-20KHz. listening to the Panasonic I can not hear any range limitation whatsoever. Don't know of any tapes that go to 20KHz (even though often stated, incl. full size decks), Maybe with your best Metal tape and equipment you will be lucky to get 16KHz, not that we would hear it. This probably has more to do with "hifi" norm status. In Europe minimum hifi norm is 20Hz-20Khz. The Panasonic's EQ feature starts at 100HZ (mid point slider) - 10KHz (mid point slider). If I open this unit up I will put it on a scope and see what the actual outputs are. So some things don't make sense following the screen print/actual sound/look at first page service manual. Maybe Panasonic were pushing more the radio abilities more with this unit. Do you have a digital service manual for this unit?

I am a collector, I mainly stick with Sony and AIWA. It was what I grew up with. My wife bought this Panasonic model new. I have kind of adopted it into my collection as it was forgotten and unused. It still runs very well (no belt change, nothing). The only thing that isn't working properly is the dial meter for the radio. It is stuck. The white peg seems to not be engaged with the gear (out of sight in the main body. I will open it up one of these days. (need the service manual first) Other than that, it is in close to mint condition. In the mean time it plays tapes very well. The equalizer function actually produces better playback than most of the Sony's or Aiwa's (including those with EQ function). Warble is present, but without a service it is no fair judgement. Clearly the passive components fair better than most. Surprised Panasonic weren't bigger here in Europe with Walkmans. Huge corporation. My version (wife is never getting it back) has slightly different screen print. Just where the TnT is. Hifi Engine has a reference for the Panasonic RX-SA77 (date 1986-1987) with free service manual available. I might buy a hard copy for the SA78 and scan it and create a page for this unit there. Unless the OP knows of a free digital version in English. Also the User manual with the specs? Any ideas? Thanks for the video.

영상 잘 봤습니다. 혹시. 96년도 쯤. 고등학교 1년 선배가 가지고 자랑하던 거 알수 있을까요. 파나소닉인데. 이어폰에서 진동도 혹실하고 베이스음도 참 느낌이 좋았던 워크맨이었어요. 색깔도 검고 푸른끼약간있던. 하하하. 오랜 기억입니다.

1970년대 흑백TV 생산 당시 산요는 삼성과 함께 공장을 설립했다는데 그 당시 일본산요 기술자들 30명 정도가 흑백TV 생산관리 품질관리 깊숙히 관여한것 맞나요? 1970년대 현대조선, 자동차나 정유 일본인 기술자 파견 안된 곳이 없더군요. 심지어 포항제철 70년대 건설부터 90년대 까지 일본인 기술자들 계속 상주했다고 하더이다.

고등학교때 쓰던 제 워크맨이네요. 노랭이 아직 가지고 있습니다. 새 건전지를 넣었더니 테잎 모터는 구동되는데, 테잎이 없어서 테스트는 못하네요. 라디오는 잘 들립니다. 하하~ 추억 속으로 잠시... 감사합니다.
