In the 1988 in particular, I had a cassette player boom box, only pressed the play button half way, holding it... -It would play I guess twice the speed...I've noticed when the right reel would start building up more tape, the speed would gradually increase...Usually by the end of the tape (60 minutes worth of tape), the speed increases, I guess another times the original speed in the end... -I would also rewind and half way hold the play button and the speed would be, I guess 4 x the speed but backwards...As the reel on the other side increases, the speed gradually increases, twice the speed...Super duper speed...lol...Been there, done that since I was 10 yrs old...
