Ok so I don't know if you have seen on the channel but I used to own 2 EA5118 active subwoofers. They are Audiocenters top of the range single 18inch subs. The EAs produced a very heavy type of bass. The S3218 produces a totally different type of bass that is a lot cleaner and is overall better quality while being about the same in loudness as 2 EA5118s. The bass is heard a lot more at lower volumes as the S3218 goes down to 26hz. The s3218 also seems to be very reliable, the fans barely come on as there seems to be a constant air convection sucking out all the hot air so the fans barely comes on even after about 4 hours of play time, there is also a fan in the drivers of the speaker its self keeping the voice coil cool. You might not be completely happy with the sub when you first play music through it. In the video this was the initial sound of the speakers out the box. I've used these speakers 4 times after this video and as the drivers broke in the sound quality and overall loudness improved tremendously. Overall the sub is very good and I'm sure you will happy with your purchase

audiocenter makes some of the best speakers I've ever heard . The EA512 is extremely loud and clear.. There are not alot of 12s that has such a high spl {134db} . I've heard other brands twice the price such as the brands you have mentioned and when I listened to them side by side audiocenter was the sound that I was looking for

its great outside . i do suggest using more than one if you in a outside setting with more than 150 people . but with two subs and two tops you can easily do 200 people outdoors
