Amazing techniques !!
Stupid
what a sad thing to say as your first ever comment lol.
good job keenan i wsh i was there ps kris
lớp học tuyệt vời của ngày hôm đó.
I’m not trying to step on this dudes toes. You block with the same side the punch is thrown. For instance right cross you block with your left. Left jab you block with your right. That is if you’re the same stances.
You’re not “stepping on his toes” you’re rightfully correcting him. Blocking the punch with the opposite hand leaves you open. Sure you can get away with it if you’re fast enough to get out of range but that’s an unnecessary gamble. This is bad technique
@@JH-eg8yk - Before I spend my time explaining standard and cross-counters to you two, I will simply ask you how many professional fights (or legitimate amateur fights) either of you two have OR how many world Champions you have trained? Zero is my bet, while this instructor had x2 170lb world MMA titles, a 90% finish ratio in the octagon (MMA fights) and was undefeated as a kickboxer and who has trained over 30 world champs.. Now, I will simply address your actual comment: you are both incorrect. You can pat, block or parry with either hand or arm, there is no 'rule' about it. It depends on skill level, speed and repitions as to which hand you use as well as if you are counterpunching. Since you like examples let me give you one for free. If both fighters are right handed, a defense to a cross is the left arm/hand but you counter is a very long and off timed cross counter. More advanced fighters (actual fighters, 30 somethings at the local boxing club) will use the power hand to block and counter with the lead hand. An example that is obvious enough for everyone to understand this is the Philly-Shell defense. If you have any further questions feel.free to ask amd I might have the time to respond and educate you all, novice and advanced.
Please read the comment further down on the thread, it may eliminate your confusion and educate you on this technique and when to use it/them. They are advanced tech iques, not for novice class or basic beginners.

Awesome armbar , great coaching , my little one took gold at his second comp this Saturday got merged up in age and weight and finished both by sub , heartbreaking to watch opponents lose sometimes crying but would be harder to watch my son in that position
Awesome!!
we cant wait to hit the gym with you guys!..

Looks amazing guys!
Thank you!
Nice job🎉
Thank you!
Thank you! Cheers!
Fire! Awesome instructions as always
My boy's jujitsu class was practicing armbars all week. This is perfect timing on that concept and variation to feed off that... 0ss👈
Best example from half guard seen. I needed this, and I love the way you trick from mount.
Explained very well 👍🏻
Thank you!
🤨
These exact techniques are currently being used by many world Champions, and are used frequently from DLR guard at every local BJJ tournament with high level competitors. 💪
@@coachchrisblackbeltjiu-jit9865 seems kinda Sus you know like. The imposter from among us
@@SOLEDxGRs not sure what that comment was meant to be. . It was so poorly worded with incorrect sentence syntaxes that its impossible to understand. Lol.
@@coachchrisblackbeltjiu-jit9865 let me put it into words your feeble mind can understand 🤔🤓
@@SOLEDxGRs <-- low IQ, can't spell or form a sentence, doesn't even train combat sports but wants to mouth off to world Champions online.. what a sad loser you must be. Lol, get lost and return to mommy's basement little guy 😂
🤔 That works great for tournaments but fighting on the street you can easily get bit or shanked.😳 "However" MMA❤ is the #1 hand-to-hand fighting skill.😎👍
That's why I carry a pistol also. . If someone implies a lethal threat then you are able to use lethal force in self defense. However, this is a Jiu-Jitsu video for sport and self defense, not a weapons or 'what if' video 👍
@@coachchrisblackbeltjiu-jit9865 I totally agree with you!👍 I only use MMA for self-defense. If people can only work out their differences without violence, I would be okay with that, but we both live in the Real "World🌎" full of Hate and Greed, so it leaves the innocent People to do whatever it takes to "Protect" themselves!!!🤔
Guard pulling is that very realistic thou in a real self defense situation?
Sport BJJ yes absolutely effective, self defense (on the 'streets') I would not recommend opting for a bottom position on the ground at all, I would suggest a top position. The exception being using a guard pull to immediately sweep, because sometimes people lack effective takedown skills but can sweep to the top.
There's that one guy in every bjj comment section 😂😂
....always bro.. @@Charlesworthe
Chris - I began training in 2007 and I watch a lot of your videos. You’re an excellent instructor teaching very practical BJJ. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate that, thank you. - within the next 6 months I will be showing more complex BJJ as my academy begins to mature and we add advanced classes by the way. 💪
Nice combo. Jiu-jitsus all about chaining the submissions together
What’s the counter to this?
You know the chokes are nasty when the Uke changes color, makes faces or both😂

Nice
Thats slick. Im a Two stripe white belt and managed to hit the triangle one. I kicked off the knee and did a big shrimp
If you grab the belt or the gi behind his back, it's hikikomi gaeshi. Sumi gaeshi is made with a standard grip.
Yes please.
❤
OMG.... Ya'll are like cats. Sooooo damn cute but built to be lethal.
That arm bar was smooth

Thank you for this
This would never work in a street fight
This move also does nothing to someone not wearing sleeves
This move does not work versus someone not wearing sleeves. Why teach it
Because it called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and you wear a uniform called the Gi while training and in combat. The variation of BJJ you might be thinking of is NoGi. NoGi techniques incorporate wrestling and BJJ both with focus on holds more so that grips. Lastly many climates on this planet people wear long sleeves around 9 months a year, so that's why I teach it and I assure you it works, I would submit you with it in 15 seconds or less 😊
@@coachchrisblackbeltjiu-jit9865 okay. I see what you’re saying. But trust me, none of what ur teaching would ever work in real life. As soon as you sit your skinny ass down on the concrete and picking you up and slamming, or if I was not a wrestler and some avg joe, I would just bite you and grab your nuts while you try to grab my jacket. You’re clearly in this business for money. Stop playing me. That’s why you have kid classes cus they’re easy money. Most adults are naive about this but u won’t fool me with that bs. Maybe post some realistic moves instead of these super niche Gi ONLY moves.
@@coachchrisblackbeltjiu-jit9865 😂😂😂. Well put for the keyboard commando.
Will this still work if the top player is stacking you up and he's off his knees and on his toes?
Yes, it requires a little more timing. Example is: the second they 'turn the corner' that's the exact moment that you counter.
@@coachchrisblackbeltjiu-jit9865 I can't wait to implement these techniques to my game. Thanks!
I needed that method to stop getting stacked with double unders. Thanks
No problem! 🤜🤛 in the future I will teach another couple but these are the couple methods I prefer for my stude ts to master first! Subscribe if you have not already. Lastly, I have some nogi filmed sessions in my library that show more offensive solutions to the double-underhook pass!
Congrats Duke 🎉🎉❤😂
