I just installed FreeCAD on my Linux Mint machine, so its a fresh install. I don't have the toolbar with all the icons to draw objects such as the lines you are drawing. How do I display that toolbar?

Nice tutorial but it doesn't work as expected. I have a square (sketch) inside a pad, I use external geometry on the top side of the pad, then constraint symmetrical between the 2 points of the external geometry and the top line of my square. Instead of centering the square between those 2 points (only the X axis), it fixes the whole square and gives an error for over-constrained +--------------------------------------------------+ pad | | | +--------------------------+ sketch | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +_________________+ | | | | | +__________________________________+

Which is the "end button"? Found it... right click is the "end button". It cancels the tool selection made.

Nice, I was wanting to do the same but starting with a cylinder and importing the top of the cylinder as an external geometry into another body. This nfortunatley doesent work fore soe reason :(

this is not a beginner tutorial as you don't explain which toolbars you're using to get the functions you refer to. It's also way too fast to follow comfortably.

Hi, When I go to convert shape to solid I get an error message saying: Cannot convert CE3_Large_Front_Bracket_MWO001 because Shape is not a shell. Is there a work around?
