We have a place in Tennessee called "the lost sea" that looks exactly like that with lights illuminating the water from underneath...except 50x's bigger..you ride a boat over it..definitely wouldnt swim in it considering theres probably still human skeletons in it..and its about 2 miles underground in a massive cave where people used to throw week long moonshine parties until they literally went blind from getting stuck in the dark too long (4 days pitch dark makes you go blind)and I'm sure the moonshine didn't help their sight either..and theres random big holes in ground that go so deep they have no idea what's at the bottom and some they think even reach molten earth or something. So anyway it was a popular happening place where masses of people would go to get drunk, run out of light, get lost in the maze of taverns and wander around blind till they died or fell into a hole...and now it's a yearly field trip location for publix schools around here. I'm speaking so matter of factly about old news that's common knowledge to me but only JUST NOW as I'm writing this I've began to realize the severity of reality in just how crazy that place is.
