Yes that’s what I did and it will work but the motor mount holes are bigger also. So make sure you compensate for that, I have seen other motors that have the same mounting hole size they are the 4074 size ones. But the additional power will break things. But wow what a ride

That's true parts are fully slash compatible. That's why I'm waiting for next year when the jato vxl drops. So I can see what's really going on they still have time to make changes to that one to justify that price tag. If I owned the slash honestly I would have converted it into a buggy. So I'm glad that traxxas put this out.

Yes the Jato nitro is fast about mine was about 62mph using 33% nitro fuel and stock gearing mod1 gearing made a big difference not quite 70mph but close but I ended up selling it when Lipo packs came out (100 rustler ) on 6s. I believe that this will live up to the jato name despite the weak introduction. Upgrades make all the difference

I would like to have seen sledge buggy. But I don’t have a problem with the Jato 4x4 as a beginner platform and I’m glad I didn’t sell my Tekno EB48.4 it’s discontinued but the new Tekno buggy parts will still work for it

Sorry for the late response. I did break a front right dog bone. But to be fair I did have several hard hits on that part of the car before it finally broke other than that it has held up. That’s been my experience with this car so far. I think they should look at upgrading that part. Based on the reviews I’ve seen it is a problem

I agree. I had planned to convert to the extended version but it is too much fun as is

I used 2.5MM the same length as the original ones, blue loctite and tighten it up snugly and let it sit overnight so far so good. Make sure your mesh is good

Also, if I were to upgrade the motor... I would recommend a 3674 1900kv motor. I would also highly recommend an esc cooling fan with higher rpm than stock. A 4074 motor would also neccesitate an esc change in my honest opinion (Like a 150a esc).

Yeah that's it. What do you think about the 3mm holes in the motor. It would be great if it were standard 2.5mm Instead . This could make it problematic to upgrade the motor. Beefy set up though

Yes I saw that Ali express has some great deals. Shipping is a little expensive $166.00 +109.12 shipping $275.00 before taxes around the same as the maverick. and the month long wait kind of turned me off the Maverick came in 3 days the same goes for parts 3 days if I break something plus the reward points are nice I used some when I bought the Maverick and they offer coupons for thirty bucks which I added to my purchase so I guess it is a question of what works best for you. Ali express does have some great deals if Amazon doesn’t stock it soon at a good price and its performance is still good I’ll go the express route. Thanks for sharing the info and the support
