@@MotoMarko that's the joke with GS riders, they spend a fortune on a bike that obviously out performs their ability. I ride a 2012 RT 1200 and accept it's a road bike and use it for that sole purpose.

Welk jaar ? Je kunt de servo altijd omzeilen als dat nodig is. What Year ? You can always bypass the servo if needed.

I'm 5"10 as well this bike weighs less than 600lbs.These handle so well and in my opinion are pretty easy to ride.Go for it !

Thanks for the comment.This car is not safe,it is very difficult to drive with cable brakes no synchronizer manual transmission and 6 volt electric system, It doesn't pollute much because like most classic cars has a totally rebuilt motor fine tuned to perfection.Its a fun car to drive every now and then to remember how it used to be. : )

Any engine without pollution controls specifically catalytic converter and electronic controls is a gross polluter by today's standard no matter how good it is. The issue is hydrocarbons Co and nix. That anti WA ue VW Beatles probably put out 10 times as much of this pollution as a more modern car 1985 and later in the USA 1981 for the K Car equipped with 1985 USA pollution controls even though it was a 1981. 1980 in California. I know. In earlier times we had smog inspection where I live in Seattle and saw the numbers on the smog meters. Though don't remember the details.

The lever is easy to pull,the clutch on these are large dry clutch and shifting can be somewhat clunky if you are not used to BMW's.

No mine is the standard 26" Windscreen.Thanks for watching .

I have the V-stream and it rattles about in any position other then full up. It's too heavy. I replaced the rubber bumpers with taller bumpers but the taller bumpers become trapped in the spring tensioners and get ripped out. I liked the additional coverage, but the refined operation was lost. When I returned to the standard windscreen, indeed something happened in that I somehow lost about 15mm of travel. I used MotoScan to confirm full extension. MotoScan once disconnect and control returned to the rocker switch, alas, the windscreen stops just short of full extension and will no longer fully extend. There is also a now a gap where once the factory screen mated with the fairing third bump, now the with the factory screen re-installed I get this odd, bottoming effect where the factory screen bottoms out and rejects the last few millimeters stopping and then resetting millimeters above the fairing rattling away. I wish I would I left the bike alone. Frustrating. When I have time I'll try to unplug the battery positive at the battery, and hopefully this will result in full reset. Just my experience. I am very fastidious about my 06, everything, with the exception of now the windscreen, works as new.
