It's theologically wrong to say, "Christ can be the answer" because that sounds as if there's alternatives to it. Christ is the only answer.

When you read the books of the New Testament you have probably asked yourself many times: "Why is it that for 2000 years we have not seen the miracles that accompanied the Church of Christ in the first century as the New Testament describes them? Why is it that so-called preachers of Christ have to prove that Jesus really existed, while atheists have the audacity to deny the historicity or divine origin of Christ? Maybe because the Church of Christ ceased to exist after the first century. There is no Church as it is described in the books of the New Testament, but there are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant and other Christian sects, claiming to be the Church, but not having that one thing that distinguishes the divine from the human and is characteristic only for the Church of Christ - the backing of the word with signs, that is, miracles (Mk 16:15-20). That is why part of the researchers doubt the historicity of Christ, and part of them do not mind to declare Him a real person, but an ordinary philosopher, a teacher. But even if Jesus was an ordinary philosopher, His disciples would have been ordinary followers of Jesus. And they would not have dared to write about the miracles that not only Jesus but also His disciples could perform. If in our time there were a Church as described by the authors of the New Testament books, where miracles are performed - healing the sick, prophesying, raising the dead - no one would doubt the historicity of Christ. Then all over the world there would be the same disputes as in the first century - Jesus is the Son of God or a false prophet who seduces the world with miracles. Find on youtube the message *"The Mystery of the Church of Christ"* . It reveals the prophecy of the disappearance and reappearance of the Church of Christ before the End of the World, giving hope to all who are sincerely seeking God and who are not lazy to think freely.

I recently discovered Michael Reeves. Even though he mispronounces Isaiah, I greatly enjoy listening to him. He points me to Jesus!

Mike, I am happy to hear this sermon. you really nailed it there, all that is Christ's is mine. all that is mine is his, He dealt sin a blow at Calvary, it is Finished.

I wish every Christian -- and non-Christian -- would listen to this. Mike zeroes in on THE key! And I've never heard a more inspiring presentation of it.

Such a treat and blessing to hear this man's sermons, such a tremendous vessel for God to express His word.

I was blessed and fascinated by the Scriptures you quoted that showed justice as caring for the afflicted. But I think you erred in the times you conflated personal issues with national issues. Christians must forgive and leave justice to God. But if a country is attacked, they should _not_ "turn the other cheek." The Bible says governments "bear the sword" (Romans 13:4) for God's purposes.

THE GREAT MISSION MOBILISER The Weekly Update - April 17, 2023 As we were gathered last Saturday in Mulhouse for our annual WEC meeting, we learned that George Verwer had gone be with the Lord. As Yukki was sharing the need to mobilise for mission, one of the greatest mobilisers in the History of the Church had just passed away. Evangelist Verwer died at the age of 84, leaving behind one of the largest missionary organisations, now present in 100 countries. I had the opportunity to listen to George preach a few times. In 2019, he asked me if I would come and see him at his home in London. What I remember from that afternoon in his living room, with a cup of tea, was his undiminished passion for the unreached peoples of the world. He used to say, "If you won't join OM, then join WEC!”

10:38 "Lord, help me." The Syrophoenician woman's great faith in prayer: 1. Persistence in the face of silence because she knew Jesus was her only hope. 2. Resistance in the face of reversal because she knew that Jesus did love her because of who He was. 3. Great faith seen in her humility in the face of truth.

Very disappointing - you have missed the whole point entirely. Verses 11/12 - "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Jesus came to baptized with (in) the Holy Ghost and with fire, but you skipped over it and didn't mention it. That is the most important part of those verses. Jesus' baptism is baptism with the Holy Ghost.
