    For the two inept security dudes I say promote them to Starship duty, outfit them in redshirts, beam them down to the first “seemingly safe” planet the ship comes into contact with and let nature take its course.

    “Don’t get smart, Tiny.” “This man is sick. Take a look.” Starfleet Security ain’t worth a $h1t. They were beat up by two old geezers. Imagine if they were the ones responsible for trying to keep Vejur at bay two movies ago. All the men on Earth would have ended up with hair sticking straight up with static radiation. All the women would be beautiful and bald headed, wearing short white bathrobes and walking around in acrylic stiletto heels. . . . Well . . . I guess that last part wouldn’t have been so bad . . .

    • @timothypruitt4578
      @timothypruitt4578 9 дней назад

      I believe the Excelsior Captain's baton was used by that Asian First Officer standing next to him for the purpose of flogging him when a mission went awry. And based on the way this simple mission of pursuit ended . . . I imagine that baton got quite a bit of use and wear that night.

    It's a bit subtle, but I love the acting and his facial expressions during the "how can you have a yellow alert in spacedock" exchange. Your guy goes from exacerbated and slightly confused because, let's face it, having a yellow alert while docked shouldn't be a thing to "did I hear that correctly" to "yeah, that warrants a yellow alert" to the face of a captain who is ready for duty. It's just a really good example of show don't tell with emotions.
