Racing car defroster - Clear View front window defroster
Andrew Doll used a Clearview Defroster #1212-3450 on his 1970 Miata 240Z race car to keep his front windshield view clear during a recent race. Watch him press the on button, and within a few seconds his windshield view starts to clear.

Hello Folks at PK Co I purchased a pipeknife to help cut drywall during demo work and after brief use looks like this tool has definitely earned a place in my tool box. It's well made but, being a safety minded person I have a concern with an open blade laying around. I understand the blades are easily removed but there is a high probability with regular use, it may get overlooked and blade left exposed. I have carried a utility knife daily for 30 + years and there is no tool more convenient than a knife with a cord attached that can be pulled out of rear pocket, opened with flick of my thumb, make cut, closed and returned back to rear pocket. I noticed the vinyl sleeve on pipeknife will slide forward to guard the blade but only a matter of time till sleeve gets too loose and falls off to be lost leaving blade exposed once again. Why can't there be a hard plastic cover which slides simular to vinyl sleeve to cover blade but have a notch of some sort to slide forward over blade and snap into place or slide back and snap into place to expose blade for use. This would benefit a great tool and be a good selling point as well. Looking forward to response Thanks M L Rogers Pasadena, TX gba26@aol.com
Hello Out Cast, thanks for your comment. We do make a metallic blade slide that covers the blade and retracts back on to the shaft. We've had it available for several years but after bringing it to market folks never bought it. Another option is our Presto PipeKnife, which allows you to easily remove the blade after use.

I really wanna try these out, do they work ok with thick sealants, like NPC Solar Seal #900, Titebond Ultimate MP, Geocel 2300 or ChemLink NovaLink? I would use a ton of these. It might work a little better if it was shorter and more ridged, dunno yet would need to try.
