Trains at Stockport (09/08/24) | Feat. 37405+37421
Trains at Stockport on the Branch of the West Coast Mainline (WCML) leading from either Crewe to Manchester Piccadilly via Wilmslow or from Stoke-on-Trent also to Manchester Piccadilly via Macclesfield. On this particular day, 3Q92, a Colas Rail operated ‘Top-and-Tail’ Test Train, Hauled By Harry Needle Rail Co. 37405 (just so happening to be a Year ago that day I saw it running light at Wilmslow), and Colas Rail 37421, being the second time I had seen it that Month at Solihull. Annoyingly, Direct Rail Services’ 88005, named ‘Minerva’ turned up unexpectedly, meaning I was unable to catch it on Camera unfortunately. On this Day, Network/Colas Rail Class 153, No. 153376 came through, along with 68015 ‘Kev Helmer’ (Of which I have not seen or documented before), 68013 ‘Peter Wreford-Bush’, GBRf 66719 ‘Metro Land’ (The first ever Train/Loco I recorded on Tape and documented back in 2021).
