Churchill, the "Butcher of Bengal". Created a famine by diversion of food grains to British Army resulting in millions of starvation deaths in Bengal.

Hi, we now own RAF Harlaxton up behind the manor. We would be interested in having a conversation about your knowledge of the history of the site
-Where does Professor Hugh Crain teach his lesson? -At the scary room 😂
I would like to have Dr. Nadia Novotorova phone Number and her Email address.
No te entendí nada ... 🤫Bonano, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese, Luchese, Cristófarus 😆Pizza muzarella & tomate.
I am so lucky that Bianca was my teacher! She has a kind of special Aura for students
What horrible sound...one would think if their so smart they could do better...after all 12 year u tubers and tick toc idiots do it daily with no money
What a shocking left wing presentation. Jog on. This is for the idiocracy. Read a book about it. This guy is laughable.
What a shockingly stupid comment, good example of why the prof said how hard it is to write (and speak) to the layman. No explanation here of why they don't like the presentation or why it is 'left wing'. Perhaps they might pick up a book or two, maybe get a degree beyond high school.
@@collinsps we're just not all feminists like you.
Hundred year war, aka marriage.
Just googled Harlaxton College, University of Evansville. Quite.
Ok I think I'll give this one a miss. There are always many versions of history but the most recent one isn't necessarily correct.
Impressive
minute 6 and he still hasn't started.
The video ended a bit prematurely. We'll take what we can get, of course, and thanks for uploading. An upload of the missing conclusion would be appreciated if possible.
love it!!
Lecture is not in depth but a great overview !
"People went to prison for buying and selling food" No they didn't. Blackmarketeers went to prison. Retailers and their customers did not. Rationed food still had be bought and paid for.
Just a load of bollocks France won the war and agincourt counts for nothing to the French.
The hundreds of French noblemen that fell there probably would disagree.
Sound is horrendous
A wonderful lecture on the general overview of the hundred years war, it only scratches the surface of the general events, but provides a tantalizing glimpse into the world of anglo-franco relations and its history. It is often during war that bonds are tested, and new ones are forged in the heat of battle; but at the same time, that comes at a cost of blood that waters the tree of heroes.
This would be perfect for me. I took a look at your hospitality program. I grew up outside Evansville. I have worked in hospitality and hotel management for a while now and I have been wanting to move to the UK for a while now. This may be my ticket to a career and my all time favorite place to live.
The Haunting ( 1999 ) brought me here
Interesting talk. Shame about the sound.
Funny to hear you talk about visiting lincoln 😂 represent
Some of his figures was wrong
Great lecture. Thank you.
Your comments reinforce my own experience. I travelled widely round the world aged 20/21 and, ever since, I am firmly convinced that travelling when young is the finest possible type of education. It teaches independence, self-reliance, self-discipline, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. You truly have become a very different person by the time you return home. Excellent video, by the way. I wish you all great success in the future and, please, try to convince the folks back home that we are not quite as cold and reserved as they think...…… ………. an ancient Englishman.
"Keep Calm and Carry On" was not for use after the Germans invaded. It was for use potential during the blitz. The British Government did not have plans for collaboration.
Victor Davis Hanson has a much better analysis of WW2 & Britains part in it. We fought a brilliant war against the 3 facist powers, ALONE for the first couple of years. But it cost us an Empire & bankrupted the nation.
Brilliant
Violet also was an ardent campaigner to abolish the death penalty, a truly remarkable woman from a very humble background . Violet's father was a coal porter & her mother a washer woman, Violet also ran for parliament a number of times, although without success, considering the era she live in as a woman just to run was an achievement in its self. A wonderful role model for any young women today.
Truly amazing woman of so many talents, I am in awe of her determination too abolish the death penalty in the UK. A true role model for women, as she was also a successful business woman, a campaigner to end the death penalty and also ran for parliament a number of times. A woman from a very humble background her father of a Coal Porter & Mother a washer woman, Violet went on from the humble background to live a remarkable life.
What a simplistic analysis, does this guy get paid for this!!!! So keep calm and carry on has nothing to do with the bliz then.
No it doesn't. The poster was never issued during the war.
i went there
No, Britain won. If we hadn't won the Battle of britain america would have had no chance.
Isabelle Maria I think you forgot the USSR...
Did you eat paint chips as a child? America invaded Italy from the south, they didn't need Britain at all. Figures you wouldn't know anything about history, women generally don't.
The Battle of Britain was something that the RAF won 100% by themselves, they had many foreign pilots, true, but they were flying RAF planes. If that battle hadn't been won by us, Britain, being completely vulnerable to Luftwaffe attacks, would've certainly been taken over by Germany and the war might have as well gone in a completely different direction. If Britain hadn't won El Alamein, the allied forces wouldn't even consider invading Sicily, because stopping the axis from having access to middle eastern resources was more important. Therefore it's not fair discrediting other belligerent nations, because each one played an important role in winning the war.
@@mi4johns erm, where do you think they would have embarked from if Britain were forced out the war in 1940? You would have to invade north Africa first. But for Britian, you muppets would have gone gun ho and tried an invasion of france in 1943, some even wanted to in 42. It was the british that said no, you will get annihilated you muppets... come along get a bit of practice and go for Italy first, you need the experience.
Britain and America needed each other. Arguing over who should get more credit is silly.
She was a composer too...?????!?
professor bujak is a gentleman and a scholar. truly an amazing person
Wonderful to be able to hear Violet's compositions at last.
