i cant recommend it. if you look really close you can see that the clip to hold the hard drive's cable is broken. i sent it back for refund.

Yes, i sent it back. got a refund. bought a OMEN Laptop - 17t gaming. im very happy with that decision

@@pettypendergrass8596 In this computer model (Dell g3) do the ram work at 2666 MHz or 2400? I saw that some even if it gets 2666 work at 2400 and OC needs to be done to work at 2666
@@sergiosuaste2832 the ram is rated at 2666. for this laptop to run this RAM at 2666 you need access to XMP settings in the BIOS. sadly that option is not available. so you would be stuck with 2400

Thank you, exactly what I was looking for. Now I can see this is indeed a NVMe socket, it can support a NVME SSD if I purchased one, which I will.
Thanks for the vid. I just purchased the same type (G3 17-3779), with i5-8300U, 1TB HDD & Intel optane 16MB. I am considering to upgrade it with the m.2 SSD, but can you please tell me - is your m.2 SSD Sandisk was originally installed inside ? I don't know if there is a free PCIex slot or not. Another thing is, does anybody knows if this mainboard works with PCIex 4x m.2 SSD's ?
hi, the m.2 nvme was preinstalled, it is 128gb. a 1terabyte 5400 rpm sata hdd is preinstalled also. no available/empty slots.
@@pettypendergrass8596 Thanks, well, the piece I have does not have the SSD pre-installed, but it does have the Intel Optane. I had no time yet to open the body, but I wonder if there is an PCIex slot free or not.
Did you try charging it over USB type-c? Thunderbolt 3 should support it

sorry, i no longer have the dell g3. the Locking ribbon-cable fastener that connected the hdd to the motherboard was broken. i bought the OMEN by HP - 17t-an100 CTO.
