Mateo is very good, but Al di Meola is still the boss on acoustic guitar

Matteo is jamming Al's music and improvising on the spot which says how great a future Matteo will have. It is a win and Al acknowledged his talent that makes me realize Al is still a legend as well.

Matteo is absolutely brilliant, but it’s clear that Al is a grand master. Is certain parts of the Mediterranean Sundance, you can see where Matteo struggled with the rhythmic elements, but Al was able to deconstruct it for him and guide Matteo so that he could find his feet during the song. The mark of a true legend and great teacher

Bisogna dire che la chitarra acustica è nata per essere suonata con le dita. Per questo motivo il suono di Matteo è più pulito, quello di Al a volte risulta come distorto. Altra cosa da dire è che Matteo, come ha sempre detto, suona prevalentemente elettrico (anche se suona tutti i generi) ha studiato chitarra classica, ma poi è andato decisamente sull'elettrici, quindi va ammirato per confrontarsi con il mitico Al di Meola con l'acustica. Vorrei vedere Al gareggiare con Matteo con una chitarra elettrica! Comunque un duo FENOMENALE! 😮

having witnessed the trio tour in 1980 (al, paco, john, with steve morse opening acoustically- all four during the encore), matteo can make it happen again. paco would have loved to have played with this guy. not since EVH (and shawn lane even more so) has the guitar been reimagined like this. i can't wait to see matteo live.

Vivo a telese terme,provincia di benevento,Al di meola è originario di Cerreto sannita,quasi ogni anno viene a trovare i suoi parenti e puntualmente con una chitarra acustica improvvisa un concerto all'aperto per la delizia dei suoi compaesani,qualche anno fa mi trovai anche io...non c'era tantissima gente a vedere questo incredibile artista...mi cascarono le braccia ..
