This is the official RUclips channel of the Regional Studies Association (RSA).
Regions are a key spatial scale for examining the nature and impacts of political, economic, social and environmental change and innovation. We are an international community focused on the dissemination of regional research through knowledge exchange, international events, publications and micro grant funding. Our publications and conferences position us as a key forum in shaping and disseminating advances in regional studies and science. Our members come from an interdisciplinary mix of economics, geography, political science, planning and sociology backgrounds. Most work in academia but many also work in policy or are practitioners.

'Regions' can mean lots of different things as said in the video, but I guess regional studies scholars have a more specific, sometimes also pragmatic, understanding of what a region is - although this can be different from study to study. I like Mark Tewdwr-Jones' "how neighouring cities/towns relate to each other".
