October 14, 2024
First time attempted to hike this area of Mount Tamalpais. We parked at Pantoll Campground Lot and paid a parking fee of $10. The trails we covered were Matt Davis, West Point Inn, Railroad Grade Fire Road, and Fern Creek which led to the East Parking Lot. From East Parking Lot, this will take you to the peak of Mount Tamalpais East Peak and you can soak in some gorgeous views of the bay area.

Great video. Hopefully, you'll be able to hike up to the summit some time. That was one of the most spiritual hikes I've done in the SF BA. Ohlone and Miwok Indians thought it was the center of the world, where creation happened from.
I loved Nan. It has its own artistic styles, since it was remote from Chiang Mai, the center of the Lan Na Kingdom. And a distinct Thai culture, called Tai Lu, settled there from Yunnan. I really enjoyed the unique cultural blends.
Wow❤
So beautiful ❤
I am planning to go on a solo hike here. Are there any bears or any other dangerous animals?
@@buildThings-d7l The only thing we encountered was a rattle snake on the trail during the evening. Definitely be cautious of your surroundings.

Very helpful video. Which month did you do the trek? I'm wondering if a sleeping bag would be a good idea for December. Also, do you happen to know if a guide was required? I know there is that new rule, but I hear that it is not being enforced. Thank you.
@@justinbecker4976 Hello 👋🏻. I trekked in March and it was my first time as a beginner. I don’t think it’s necessary to have a sleeping bag but it would be nice to have. If you have the space to carry it or you’re utilizing a porter than definitely take one. For me, I just didn’t take one for the sake of space and I was carrying my own pack and didn’t want to add weight 😀. In terms of utilizing a trekking guide, we did encounter a few people who didn’t utilize one cause they were experienced with the territory. If it’s your first time visiting the area, I highly recommend you use a guide just for your own safety 👍🏻
One of the best videos I've seen. Thank you for sharing!

i have been in USA last year, hiking in the Grand Canyon for three days and visiting Monument Valley and Lake Powell and Los Angeles. I drove across Arizona Desert for 1200 km, completely alone. It was not only a dream. It was mystic.
@@gabrielecartabaggiana Wow! That’s awesome! 👏🏻 Even I live in the USA and I’ve yet to even explore the Grand Canyon or Monument Valley 😂
@@gowithlyn9928 greetings from Palermo, Sicilia, Italia 😀
please, can you tell me the distance between Kijanjin Gompa and the top of Tserko Ri and temperatures? Thank You very much
@@gabrielecartabaggiana I went in March so the weather was around 3 to 5 degree celsius but it can vary. Definitely it was superrr cold so make sure to bring thick layers. The distance from Kyanjin Gompa to Tserko Ri was around 17 kilometers and can take anywhere from 9 to 10 hrs to complete depending on your pace. We started at 7:00 am and got back to Kyanjin Gompa around 4:30 pm which took us about 9.5 hrs. Hope this helps 😀
