No Service Mountain Bike Trail at Raging River
This video shows the first time I ride the trail called No Service at the Raging River Mountain Bike Trail System. This trail is remote, technical, and for expert riders. Be sure you have the fitness necessary to complete this trail: the loop I did was over 19 miles with over 3,700 ft elevation gain. After No Service, you have to pedal back up to Raging Ridge, which involves 2 miles/1,000 ft of climbing on Return Policy! All in all, this is a super fun trail and I highly recommend it to someone looking for a long, challenging day on the bike.

Hardtail vs Full Supension Mountain Bike: NOTG, Tiger Mountain
Просмотров 50210 месяцев назад
Same trail, different mountain bike. In this video I ride NOTG on Tiger Mountain. These two rides were at different times of year, so it is not a perfect comparison. In fact, the run on my hardtail was the first time I rode this trail, but it is fun to compare it with the clips on my full-suspension bike and see how much faster I ride it now. Maybe I'll have to make a newer video riding the sam...
EPIC Post Canyon Mountain Biking Ride 2023 (on a Hardtail)
Просмотров 16210 месяцев назад
In this video I ride some of the Post Canyon mountain bike trail system. These trails are just outside of Hood River, Oregon, which is about an hour east of Portland. These trails are super fun, and have a variety of technical trails, but are perhaps more well known for the fast, smooth flow. I took the Post Canyon shuttle route and started at Kingsley Reservoir and worked my way down to the Fa...

Port Gamble Mountain Biking: Intermediate Trails Sampler
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.Год назад
This video features the best mountain bike trails at Port Gamble for an intermediate rider looking to improve their skills. These trails are a lot of fun! While most of these trails are in the newer bike park section of PG, this large riding zone also offers many tech cross country style riding as well. I would recommend riding a large loop to see all this park has to offer. Cheers!

This is an amazing hiking/biking trail through some iconic Washington forest along the White River near Mt. Rainier National Park. Thanks for watching! Like and subscribe for more (Ride was on April 28th, 2019)
Great video. Thank you for posting. By thy way. Hello... from kent Washington !!!
sigh..blacking out chrome is not "offroad : Budget Build"
Hyperdip instead of plastidip.
I did the diode dynamics lightbar in the grill, driving and flood. Rims, i used a wire wheel to prep for primer. Did 5 or 6 coats before putting 2 coats of black( then someone sideswiped it and now i need to paint again).
A little tip for fitting a larger water bottle - you can use the lower bolt that secures the cable exit guide too, and shift the cage way down. I fit a 30oz bottle on my medium!
You are totally right!! I just moved my cage down to this position… sick!! Thanks 🤘
@@kyleinthepnw nice!!! Still need to figure out how to make the best use of that accessory strap mount
Everything is very important. I would apply the Turbo sticker. It should help on up hills.
Notice your Washington plates, if you live in Washington do you have any roads you recommend traveling for camping or hiking
The best tire for all train ❤😅
was going to get the Salsa Horsethief ...but now i am looking at the Blackthorn thanks for the video...see you out there
This is a great reminder for me to get out to No Service again! Been 3 years since I rode it! Let's get in a ride sometime!

wtf
Very cool footage. Looks like an awesome trail.
Great video & thank you for the review. Coming from a Hardtail, what inspired you to pick the Blackthorn vs other full suspension bikes?
Nice Kyle! Fun to see the side by side. I love NOTG!
Glad you enjoyed! Very fun trail 👌
I love the trail you are on. I live in Mission BC Canada and we are known for our trails and hiking in BC. It's a small town but tons of nature. It looks like so much fun but at the same time fast and hard to control. What kind of bike would you recommend for a beginner? Thanks. Love your videos.
Sounds like a great place to live!! The bike I am riding in this video I think would be a good beginner bike. It's a hardtail with 29 x 2.6 tires, hydraulic disc brakes, and a 1 x 11 drivetrain. I found it online used on Facebook Marketplace. I would recommend looking used or just look for sales to get a good deal. Best of luck!
Got u the sub my bro! 🫡
My favorite trail to ride tiger mountain bro ! 🫡😍 nice work buddy
Thanks for sharing this Blackthorn video. Nice work on it, and glad to see you are enjoying the bike. Take care, rubber side down, and enjoy the ride. -The Salsa Crew
Looks worse
Good riding and video! What model of Smith helmet is that?
Thanks! It’s the Smith Venture MIPS. Great, comfortable fit for me

Was looking for some fresh content on this bike. Picking one up this week. Thanks for the video.
Awesome video , and whata beast of a bike :D
Sick I’m gonna get out there soon!
thank you for your videos, there aren't many showing the trails around here, you have done a great job. P.S. You already have a good eye for cinematography, but I think you could really improve your view count and maybe even earn a bit from doing youtube if you invest in a few things like a mic that clips onto your shirt, find some fitting music to put over the scenery shots (a lot of people prefer the natural sounds, but it makes a difference for the better anyways for some reason, probably just helps hold attention) and upload a little more frequently so you have more recurrent viewers, hope this helps.
it might be discouraging to not get many views, but most of the big mtb RUclipsrs like berm peak, the singletrack sampler, and Jordan boostmaster tended to have a good year or so of only a few hundred or a few thousand viewers and then a sudden rise in views.
Instead of plasti-dip use spray on truck bed liner. Way more durable. 2:06
Mr. Sparkle is my favorite trail and I can't for the life of me get enough speed to hit most of the jumps. They're massive!
i have a 2016 Roo (forester) love it ! had it for about 4 years now - I am gonna do some off road mods for camping /fishing / hiking - thanks for the vid
Looks so much better with all the chrome blacked out!
Great mods! I need better tires on my Forester and a skid plate. I'd be happy with that.
I have the same year it is red touring model. Only thing I did do far is paint y crossbars on top purple and painted my ownership badge to match my car
Hi bro
Any info on location or trail you were on?
Nice ride! Awesome trail!!
Thanks!!
Intense!
Great video! I run some trails at Squak Mountain which is beside Tiger Mountain and the descents are so flowy and fun to bomb down!
Thanks! Sounds fun, I’ll have to check those out sometime 🤘
Thank you….good job!
what is your tint percent for your front passenger and driver?
I’m not sure.. it was already tinted when I bought it!
nice ride!
So hard to get enough speed to clear the jumps on me sparkle
Totally! Will have to go back to conquer them all 🤘
Nice ride!
Thanks! Super fun trails 🤙
I pastidipped my trucks chrome when I bought it almost 8 years ago. Still looked pretty good, a few spots that needed touch ups, but I applied 5 or 6 coats. Just peeled it all off a week ago and finished with some Goo Gone automotive for the parts that didn't peel.
Did you need to install any kind of lift in order to fit the bigger tires
Nope! My Forester is stock ride height. No issues fitting those tires
225/65 17 fit's ok even without lift.
@@kyleinthepnw Thank you for the reply i am curious to know what kind of mpgs you have with all the attachments?
@@ConstantJive Good question. Recently I've been getting around 23 combined city/highway. The roof basket is the mod that caused the biggest drop in mpg
How long was your hike, how much time did it take?
What time of the month did you go?
My town got nothing compared to bend Oregon course my town is only 7000 people maybe.
Stands on a mountain and says “Look it’s a mountain!” 😂 Love your videos.
Summer edition coming?
quick tip. Dont name the locations of where you went in a youtube video if you want a single ounce of respect from locals. Making these videos ruins the experience around these places by making them major attractions. Most Bendites like bend because of its pretty places. you make these videos and suddenly a californian family rolls up in theyre 2018 minivan and drop loads of trash on these places and just ruin the environment. Best way to avoid this is to not make videos like this in general, its more fun to enjoy vacations without filming every moment anyway
All of these places already are major attractions in the Bend area and are easily searchable. That’s how we found them. In the future I can encourage more leave no trace principles in my video. I appreciate the feedback
@@kyleinthepnw <3
Awesome video and great camera work! I hate when trail reports have conflicting information on the overall distance. But I think it has something to do with people not completing the hike entirely.
Thanks! yeah, lots of different ways to loop this trail..
