I'd say more so going first as you set up a powerful board and with heatsoul variant you can draw into potential additional hand traps when going first as you get the draw on your turn and your opp turn. There are other lists out there that are more so on the control variation which can arguably make going 2nd better as they utilize more board breakers in their decks like super poly and dark hole and evenly matched.

Also what do you think about ash in the main with Snake eyes atm? Would you rather side it or try and rely on breaking a board with other hand traps/Kash engine

Worst matchups most likely would have to be backrow heavy decks, Lab, rescue ace etc or even blowout cards like evenly matched. Sure we can side to have removal but we'd lose the grind game. Best matchups I'd consider would be it's strong against any deck that utilizes the graveyard heavily like snake eyes, tearlamanets, branded to an extent, considering we are one of the decks that can run dimension shifter quite easily.

Depending on the matchup I think it could be a potential card to side out, hence why we have droll and lock bird in the side deck, but at the same time we run our lvl 3 tuner hand traps for baronne so I'd say it depends on what your opponent is on. For snake eye we'd want to negate their snake eye ash if they're on pure, but if its a fire king variant, perhaps we should go for our lava golems and anti spells / summon limits going into future games. Droll is huge in this meta and definetly should be at the very least in your side deck, main it if you can. Providing more thought I'd take out ash for droll or up the count of my ghost belle and ghost mourner to 3 each as mourner is a negate / burn for time & belle is a gy negate. Both viable options

oh you absolutely could. especially with non engine you can swap out for whatever your preference is. This is just based on what my locals / regional scene is at least for now.

That's the fun about the deck. You can always change it around. Like running sky striker azaela, nightmare unicorn, scarlight red dragon archfiend, etc for other extra deck monsters instead of sp and access code. Or y'know we have rarity collection 2 coming out in may so access code is in there for a reprint to become more readily available.

@@Rev-YGO Yeah ik, tho I still don't know how the price will be where I live. And the thing about the extra deck being very easy to be changed is impressive. I normally finish my board with the normal DLink end board (Borrelend + Savage) and some extras like Dis Pater, and bc of the extra searches of the added Red-Eyes engine it's possible to end with 2 Flares in the field, making It harder for my opponent to play around 1k burn each activated card

@alexismurphy-rr8wz I'm always going to love running my branded deck in every format I can. Also reading meta reports I'm always happy to see it top, its certainly not rogue. Def tier 1.5 at minimum

Not terrible to be completely honest. However upon looking at the deck in my spare time I couldn't help but notice that my deck was 43 cards, so if that's the case we take out the 3 nib and put them in the side over something else. This list will be updated and further in depth explanation of the ratios will be elaborated on.

Since the extra deck space is so tight idk about borrelsword dragon and I havent seen many other people run it either in their decks, but it may be something to consider to be spicy

@@codywellsbigdog5908 I mean, we have accesscode which is by far a better link 4 for removal and attack if I'm being completely honest. Everyone plays the deck differently. we dont "need" borrelsword in our extra deck, if I'm going for game im making borrelend which is by far better. If and when I see borrelsword in extra decks of regional tops and ycs tops I'll change my opinion on it. As it currently stands its a "decent" tech if you prefer to play it and you dont have accesscode talker

@@Rev-YGO Borrelsword dragon is still better then you think two it's so much easier to get also not everyone wants to pay $30 something bucks for it plus like I said it can win you games and yes just like access code you can't respond to the best affect

@@codywellsbigdog5908 we are both in agreement there in its accessibility, and it CAN win games, keyword. My recommendation is if you dont have accesscode, run borrelsword. That is totally fine.

Scarlight red dragon archfiend to replace chaos angel to pop and burn for time. Knightmare unicorn to replace s:p little knight. Finally, maybe a 2nd seals to replace the accesscode as we rarely go into accesscode for games, actually these 3 cards at least for me rarely come up maybe sp over the other two.

Access code is pretty cheap Good alternative extra deck cards would be Unicorn/Azeal sky striker/borrelsword/scarlight/Tenyi/Williow dragon

I just got back into playing after a few months and my heart is broken seeing chaos space put to 1. I guess it was inevitable with chaos angle being printed. Imagine if we still had pepega ruler? Chaos decks would be so broken lol

@@Rev-YGO nono, u still get it wrong. i will summarize for you bro so when you have magnamut, lubellion and black metal dragon on the field, you should have used magnamut and lubellion to summon romulus. after that, add tracer into hand and special summon tracer with boot sector. so now you have tracer, black metal dragon, and romulus on the field. use tracer to pop boot sector and special summon recharger. so now u have romulus, tracer, recharger and BMD. link summon pisty and striker again with BMD and recharger. use pisty effect to special summon magnamut. synchro summon dis pater with magnamut and tracer. use dis pater effect to special summon the banished striker dragon. link summon dillingerous with the striker dragon and pisty (you have 2 striker dragon on the field now). use striker dragon to pop dillingerous , add back recharger, use recharger effect to special summon itself again, and dillingerous will self special summon onto the field whenever a rokket monster is special summon to the field. after that link summon borrelend with dilingerous, romulus and striker dragon. and the rest its easy. and by using that line, when dillingerous is banished due to its own effect, you can now use chaos space graveyard effect to earn one more card.

@@Rev-YGO ya you are right. just be careful when you want to go with the dillingerous route because you would need one more lvl 4 and below monster. but triple burst route its easier due to less restriction. after the ban list dragon link will require more skills and thoughts when you pilot the deck because we srsly do not have enough resources like we used to do.

@@kbs5059 I guess that's where the world legacy card comes into play with reborning a level 4. But the next video may have a different style of play with it. I'll try my best to learn this deck because I still love it

True those are nice changes, but running the psyframe package at least for me is kinda okay personally. I dont want to possibly brick / not open optimal by adding in a 3 card engine just for the sake of increasing the likelyhood of summoning the level 6 red eyes, If i really need or if I open it, I can always use red md to cheat it out from hand instead. The second we summon and have bodies on board gamma is dead. Just my personal opinion on the matter, dragon link in of itself is versatile with the amount of cards / different engines. One of the many reasons I love it

​​@@Rev-YGOI have a few nasty replays of a "Dragon-Link" deck that doesn't really use rokket cards. It's Branded/Bystial that is actually a Synchro/ D-Link deck in disguise. Sounds typical, boring, not at all D-Link, right? WRONG! I had 3 negates, 1 bounce, duality Savage into Furious. Plus, fusion summon and D-Link/Synchro possible whenever because I'm usually not locked into archetype; no rokket.

It beat regular Dragon-Link 😅😂

@@Rev-YGO it literally didn't matter if you summon meteor with romulus secret effect or not, it doesn't change the fact that your meteor is a lv 6 beat stick that cant summon its own effect and need outside support just for it to hit the field Can it summon itself by its own effect? Still no Does it have any extra benifit other than a lv 6 body on the field? Also no My criticism is that you're running a garnet that can't do anything without Romulus, not that you can never summon the card and use it for rank 6 plays or synchro 8/10 plays Better yet, ik You clearly didn't read my comment cuz i literally said nothing about meteor being unsummonable

How does it not matter summoning meteor dragon with romulus? when and If we have a bystial in hand to go into rank 6 atum and then detach to extend, or if we didnt open optimally, we simply use it as discard for ravine. I dont really see that as a bad option in my opinion to be fair. (not saying that you do). We can also special summon it with red md's effect if we happen to open it in our hand therefore not using black metal dragon a 2nd time, unfortunately we lose the 2nd attempt to chain block to prevent ash on romulus search for ravine. 9/10 times we usually discard a "dead card" from our hand for ravine anyways, be a 2nd wyverburster if and when we were allowed to play the chaos package with the babies. (or maybe you're cracked and run all the gy effects) So having discard fodder when a different / arguably better play is right in front of me I'll take that any day of the week, especially when I know I cant extend past seals pass. Your critiques are valid just like any other duelists here, and you may play the deck however you like at the end of the day. The same can be said for me. This is and never will be the "DEFINITIVE" version of dragon link, if you ask me, there is no right or wrong play to play (except summoning pisty to romulus right zone)

Anyone can do it. Just with a lot of practice and also make sure to see your duels through. Also the amount of times I summon pisty to the wrong zone.... We dont talk about that.. lol

At most this deck can probably play through 3-4 interruptions with the most optimal starting hand. But just barely. I did see D-Link with pend stuff thrown in and it went kinda hard. But that might be more copium than anything. But hey if it works right?

You didn't watch the video, I didn't show any turn 1 duels. All of them had 2 turns minimum. Not my fault opponents scoop too early. Two turns meaning I did my turn and they did theirs and surrendered bare minimum.

Chaos ruler did in fact do WAY too much. White was just salt in the wound a bit lol.

Thank God they hit stun. No one likes that genuinely. Also to branded, yeah I agree. If they ban branded fusion we'd still be fine to be honest.

@@TeemoonMaster it's the activated effect, we get to reborn a level 4 or lower dragon monster from our gy. Its essentially a monster reborn upon activation. Not terrible, but I think they're are probably better alternatives

Now this is something to think about. I'll throw that into testing and see what can happen.

@@TeemoonMaster There's the revival effect. Also makes Pisty a bit easier to use since it let's you move a link monster. Not a huge deal but it's a thing you can do.

Chaos ruler hit is not as bad as baby dragons hit. in tcg, dlink is still a thing without chaos ruler.

All depends on what your deck is. Many counters are the ishizu shufflers, but since they are going to 1, running shifter is a hard counter if you can manage your deck with it, using dark law for a one sided macro cosmos is a lovely tech, running things like bagooska shut off their field eff or abyss dweller shuts off the gy eff to fusion summon shuffle. The answer is any way to shut off their gy access. There are many ways, you just need to play around and find what works for your deck personally

@Rev ive been interested about that for awhile I never considered tear w branded till it came to master because I play it in the tcg but I could definitely see some potential especially if we are shuffling back in more cards to be searched of magnumut

@@kaijutraps something to note is that the best thing about it is the possibilities are endless, cartesia fusion quick eff, lubellion fusion summon shuffle back, Quite saucy stuff to mess around with. Im definitely building the deck as I play branded in TCG and tears in MD I'm familiar with both so I believe it will be a VERY strong deck

It appears you've been hurt by branded too much I take it. Well rejoice my duelist, all the ishizu stuff will be limited to 1, except for kelbek, he's still at 2. Terraforming and stein are now banned, however. We are getting the bystials which means you will see the new guu which is Branded Bystial Tear. It will be unfortunate for you, just run d fissure and shifter you'll be fine lmfao.

@@Rev-YGO fissure and shifter hurts my combos as well sadly, using any of my decks. Since all of them rely on th graveyard to some extent.

perhaps TCABOO, or dimensional barrier. those are some great cards to consider. What is your deck?

@@Rev-YGO I have many, Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician, Speedroids, Blackwings, Synchrons (with all the stardust dragon retrains I could get my hands on) etc All of them require useage of the graveyard, some more than others.

All fine decks, but up against meta, the only deck that really seems powerful is blackwings and possibly synchrons. Keep working at it tho

I dont understand why Bystials are not in the game yet. Werent they released alongside Tearlaments?

@@MsMiDC it's a bit complicated. The main deck monster tearlaments released in power of the elements alongside maybe kitkallos? Rulkallos and kaleidohart were released in darkwing blast. Darkwing blast has the bystials lubellion, druiswirm and magnamhut also with saronir. So they SHOULD be next if anything right before kashtira. Considering also kashtira cards like unicorn and I believe Fenrir are in darkwing blast as well. So they will be released soon I hope. One of the selection packs goes away in less than 7 days, so it's quite possible to we are looking at bystials or kashtira
