      There’s been some studies that show if they do not have any claws at all, another crab with claws will allow the clawless one to eat with him. But if he has a single claw, he will not allow the other crab around. and then the next time he molts he will grow new claws.

      chrisn365 Not worried about that at all. We were the only people there that weekend and we’re on a 7500 acre private ranch.You have to understand we were in the middle of nowhere in Texas. I would like to add, that the angle I’m firing at rarely if ever ricochet but instead disintegrate within one foot after entering the water. I guess I should have set the stage better so that some novice does not try this in a populated area. Thanks for your input.

      Thanks, there is a study somewhere I seen where they tested the theory of removing one or two claws. They observed after removing two claws that another stone crab would allow a clawless crab to eat along side him. If a crab still had one claw any other crabs around we consider him to be a threat and would not share food.

    I live in Europe and drive internationally regularly (including over the Alps) with a 14 year old Opel diesel. I get 56 miles per gallon (24 km per liter), even with the mountains and a very old car. Diesel fuel also costs less than regular gasoline here, opposite of the USA. Add to that, the fact that diesel engines last for literally millions of miles, I am convinced this is a deliberate screwing of the American public by big oil lobbies colluding with auto manufacturers to sell more cars. Even the American cars makes/models on sale here are also often superior to the ones sold in the US...many models are not even available in the US. Instead of using tried and true diesel tech, they want Americans to buy ridiculous electric or hybrid cars. Give me a break.

    if i drive 65 Miles an hour non stop on a flat road i do get 70 Miles per gallon with my citroen c3 ehdi but in europe you have to brake and drive slower lots of times because traffic is very busy here. THIS MAN IS LYING ABOUT THE PASSAT UNLESS HE DROVE 40 MILES PER HOUR.... AND EUROPEAN CARS ARE MUCH LESS ECONOMICAL THAN THE FACTORYS OF THE CAR BRANDS SAYS. ..MY CITROEN C3 E-HDI should do 70 Miles per gallon combined according to Citroën factory... in reality its 46 Miles per gallon.......

    • @crookedriver2079
      @crookedriver2079 5 лет назад

      Maybe so, but there aren't many cars here in the US that will get 46 mpg in city driving. so you have to ask yourself about the US cars: WHY??

  • @johannesdejonge7905
    @johannesdejonge7905 7 лет назад

    if you want a diesel that runs and sounds like a lawnmower: get a german diesel. if you want a smooth powerfull one get a french turbodiesel from citroen renault or Peugeot. they make the best diesels in europe. Mercedes and BMW also use french diesel engines.

  • @johannesdejonge7905
    @johannesdejonge7905 7 лет назад

    this is a lie! 50 Miles per gallon is the best u can get in a small european diesel.... im from holland. this man is lying.... my citroen c3 ehdi 1.6 litre turbo diesel does 46 mpg combined. i mostly drive 81 Miles per hour on the highway. this is the top speed in the netherlands. and... keep in mind 1 gallon of diesel in europe COSTS 5 dollars!

    • @user-sf5iq2fl1l
      @user-sf5iq2fl1l 4 года назад

    I got to visit England a few months ago, and I got to ride as a passenger in a cousin's Range Rover, I believe his was a 1998-99 County. I don't know what it was, but I remember it had a turbo diesel engine. I don't know what the size was, I'm thinking either a 2.8 litres, maybe 3.0 litres. I remember how incredibly quiet it was. People complain that diesels are noisy. But with the bonnet (hood) closed and everyone inside the SUV, you couldn't tell that it was running. I was also amazed at how good its fuel economy was. I believe it was around 20 mpgs, and this was a full load of people, and luggage. Why such diesel engines aren't allowed here in North America, and in particular, the USA, is beyond my comprehension. The reasons this guy mentions, I've heard countless times over the years, which I think is so bullshit. Car buyers should be the ones who should decide what engine their vehicle should be powered by, not the US-EPA.

    What *really* pisses me off is that the Presidential administration demands that cars and trucks, SUVs, and vans, produce better fuel economy than they do, but they flat-out refuse to allow car makers to offer anything to make sure motor vehicles get better mileage.

  • @jasoncarpp7742
    @jasoncarpp7742 7 лет назад

    I've seen a few diesel cars here in the USA, but not many. That's unforgivable. Car buyers should be allowed the option of a small displacement (2.0 to 4.0 litre) turbo diesel engine for their cars, trucks, SUVs, etc. Why the US EPA is refusing to allow small diesel engines in this country, when there are also larger 6.5-7.0 litre, etc. diesel V8 engines is beyond my comprehension. Not everyone needs that large an engine, unless you're either driving a 40 ft., 40k lbs motorhome, or even a tour bus. Other than that, most people only need a small truck, van, or SUV to get around, so they should only need a smaller displacement diesel engine. Someone needs to tell the US Congress to allow smaller displacement diesel engine for US car buyers. And what good is producing diesel engines in the USA if it's not allowed to be sold in the USA? That doesn't make any sense. I got to visit the UK a few weeks ago, and I saw that most (if not all) cars and trucks, lorries, etc. are powered by diesel engines. The UK is a smaller country, geographically, than the USA, and yet more vehicles are offered with turbo diesel than either the USA or Canada. What the hell is wrong with this picture?
